National Weather Service meteorologists, investigating storm damage in the Bay Ridge area with New York City Emergency Management officials, have confirmed that a tornado did in fact touch down on parts of Brooklyn Wednesday morning. (http://www.ny1.com/ny1/content/index.jsp?stid=1&aid=72443)
The tornado's heavy winds, estimated to have been up to 111 to 135 miles per hour, tore through sections of Brooklyn, damaging roughly 40 buildings and downing dozens of trees. Residents in the Bay Ridge, Flatbush and Sunset Park neighborhoods reported damaged houses and hundreds of crushed cars along several blocks.

The article doesn't mention about it every happening before, but that is some wild weather for these parts I'd imagine.

Well the weather was like hellfire out here at like 5am. I left my windows open and was woken up to some of the biggest thunderclaps and lightning strike I have ever heard or seen.
It woke both myself AND Crippler up. Some of the lightning even hit the houses next to us. We knew it was much more than your regular run-of-the-mill thunderstorm.
But when I heard about a tornado in Brooklyn, I was dumbfounded.
This has been one hell of a summer, weather wise.
I hope this is the worst we will see for a while.
All that damage was fucked up. Can you imagine if it was a house in the suburbs instead of a row of brownstones made of brick and mortar?

Unknown to me, is the reason why the fact that 2 tornados touched down in Staten Island has gone unreported.
Also I want to point out I did not intentionally post like Yoda, it just happened.

Every bar on 3rd ave in Bayridge will be selling a drink called a "tornado" by tomorrow.
And the bartenders will say "Drink this, it'll knock your roof off!"
Gotta love it.

A tornado touched down near Buffalo last summer, it was a real minor one, but the best part about it was that it actually came down in a trailer park. There really isn't a whole lot of trailer parks around Buffalo, so I can only figure that it's proof that God hates poor people.

No, you're right. That's a sick pad they don't deserve.
