Bitz was great and his band The Alleged Bricks was pretty rocking too. My first non-O&A related Ron and Fez segment I heard was when he was in the studio reaking of pot and talking crazy infront of the the PD of the station.
My favoruite Bitz bit was when he came up with this crazy game show where he'd play a famous guitar riff backwards and the listeners would have to guess what it was.

It was also a time where I started to listen to every show religiously. One thing I don't miss is going to bed after 4am.

Even better was the "muffin mouth" game where he would sing the lyrics of a song with a mouthful of muffin, and the callers would try to figure out the song.

that's a great one. I'm pretty sure it's in the file library too - I know I've heard it since it aired. That's one that I can actually remember where I was when it ran, laughing my ass off.

Yeah, he was one of the greats. Thanks for reminding me of the god-awful SU. But a man's gotta do what a man's gotta do. It was certainly better than nothing.

God, how I miss Bitz. I think he's a geeeenius and he'll find his own way, but it may eventually mean moving out of Virginia.
I mean, the state.

I loved Bitz! One of my very first posts on here was asking after Bitz, and Bobo answered back that they played some gigs together.
I have a ton of old shows from that time in my ITunes, because I would download them off this site and listen to them on the subway, a whole week's worth of shows.
I was just listening yesterday to the show where Keisha got the producer job and Giant Brian was making fun of Bitz because he didn't get a job with the show, talked about birds flying around his head like on a cartoon. Harsh, but funny.
I have Bicycle Ride by Pomoguano in my workout mix, actually.
I thought Giant Brian was pretty funny too, actually. What ever happened to him? I tried podcasting the Giant show, but it's just too many things to keep track of. It was pretty good, though.

LOTD, 04/26/05 edition:
Bitz climbs into Fez's broadcast chair..
Ron: put on the headphones.
Fez: how's that feel?
Bitz: it's loud. wow. this is incredible.
Ron: it's too loud for you? success is too loud for you, Bitz? is that what you're saying?
Bitz: I think so
I really (!!!) have enjoyed the XM interns the last few months, but Bitz is definately a favorite of mine. Got a chance to see him perform at the 9:30 Club last year was a highlight - him introducing me, Bobo, Kathleen and BriBri to his bandmates as if we were his family was VERY cool - the Alleged Bricks CD rocks the fat ass (imo), and I'm killing myself i can't be out tonight to see them at the Black Cat - I actually ran into him at a 7-11 near my place on July 4th and we had a great talk. Love that kid.
The JFK highlight for me was the Bitz Song tied with him hypnotized - I love it when Don tells him he's Don Knotts, and Bitz' begins to talk like both Don Knotts as Barney Fife AND Mr. Furley. Then, of course, when he bugged out and ran out of the room - Ron LITERALLY hit the floor he was laughing so hard. I also enjoyed it when I learned that Brian really DID throw Bitz into the wall of carts every time he said he did.
Giant Brian wasn't there long enough to really get the love or respect or hatred he should have - some of his shit, though, was hysterical and stands up. Anyone who knows anything knows Ron isn't always an easy laugh, and those "bad guests" they would do, which would include GB's "Mr. Rogers" alongside "Iris" and "Jan" would have everyone rolling.
As reported elsewhere, Brian is the new morning man for a show in Atlanta, GA - he's still so young, you can just tell he's on his way. I always assumed he'd find his way to the Daily Show as one of their smart ass correspondents.

"each shot takes me closer to my life goals"
"im sorry, i didnt know this was broadcast radio"

It's hard to say, but two moments, 1 when they left him alone in studio for a break, and 2 when the interns were supposed to create a promotional piece about the show and he thought it was supposed to be about himself (the bitz song) and the break that ensued from it, rank him pretty fucking close to number one, not to mention the awesomely awkward/funny other moments he provided the show.
