If anyone knows how to make hot sauce let me know. The firehouse has a deep fryer, and I bought wings. But I dont know how to make the hot sauce. Anyone who knows how to do so, your expertise will be needed.

EDIT. What we also need are some portable BBQ grills for the field. Anyone have one, bring it. Or at least get some organization as to who is bringing a grill

Justice is bringing a grill, but a second one would be helpful.

Hot sauce, worst case you can go to the supermarket and buy some ready made.

I would say bring something along the lines of corn or steaks or some small finger stuff. I have bought a bunch of chicken and some steaks but not a lot. I dont know who is coming or what not. We will have food at the field and have more when we get back to the firehouse afterwards. I bought steak fries, and wings for the fryers. I also recommend to people to pick up beer before hand. We will need some for the game and some for after the game as well. I will be going up to set up in a lil bit.

And as for the wings, there is more than just hot sauce goes into wings. There is some stuff you can use for wings and I cant remember it. A recipe like hot sauce, and other things that create sauce. Like I said we have the fryers.

For the wings, you put Franks Hot Sauce, and butter together in a pan and heat it up for the sauce. You have to dredge the wings in flour and spices first.

This is the recipe I use:

INGREDIENTS

* oil for deep frying
* 1/4 cup butter
* 1/4 cup hot sauce
* 1 dash ground black pepper
* 1 dash garlic powder
* 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
* 1/4 teaspoon paprika
* 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
* 1/4 teaspoon salt
* 10 chicken wings

DIRECTIONS

1. Heat oil in a deep fryer to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). The oil should be just enough to cover wings entirely, an inch or so deep. Combine the butter, hot sauce, pepper and garlic powder in a small saucepan over low heat. Stir together and heat until butter is melted and mixture is well blended. Remove from heat and reserve for serving.
2. In a small bowl mix together the flour, paprika, cayenne pepper and salt. Place chicken wings in a large nonporous glass dish or bowl and sprinkle flour mixture over them until they are evenly coated. Cover dish or bowl and refrigerate for 60 to 90 minutes.
3. Fry coated wings in hot oil for 10 to 15 minutes, or until parts of wings begin to turn brown. Remove from heat, place wings in serving bowl, add hot sauce mixture and stir together. Serve.

Hottub

Missy got the recipe perfect except for the 10 to 15 minutes. Usually less for wings.
You may also want to get a few giant zip lock bags. Add the hot stuff, then add the cooked wings and shake. Pour the remaining over the top.

I actually just thought of something that someone can bring...Can someone bring cole slaw, or potato salad, macaroni salad, etc that would be most appreciated. What I have thus far is chicken legs, some chicken breasts, hot dogs, hamburgers (a 40 pack of that), pork chops, salmon for grilling for the veggies out there, wings for frying, steak fries, and about 6 large steaks that are marinating as we speak and should be nice and tangy by tommorow. I have lots of cutlery, and plates, but you never know what enough will be. We have a deep fryer in the place as well as several stoves, so if there is anything else that people want let me know.

Like I said to people before, if there is one thing I learned from June is to bring lots of beer. The place we are going to afterwards is A/C'ed and there is plenty of stuff to do such as horseshoes, volley ball, BBQ outside if we wish. The forecast for tommorow is supposed to be clear skies and 77 for a high, so I expect a gorgeous sunny day. Also if there is a request for a specific type of beer let me know. I wont be supplying all the beer, hell maybe just enough for myself, but let me know as I have a place where I can get it somewhat cheap.
