He didn't have a heart attack this time - they were running tests, found the blockage, and added the stent as a PREVENTATIVE measure. That's a better situation than a heart attack.

Fez kind of gave up on helping himself. He gave up on the diet, wasn't taking care of himself, and wouldn't follow anybody's advice about getting help. Some people could think "well, what do you expect?" (not that I do).

And of course, the Irish wake is a fun funeral. When my grandfather died, it was a celebration of his life more than a mourning of his passing. When my uncle died, my aunt (his wife) was seen laughing with the priest in the back of the church. Neither one was a laugh-riot comedy show, but it reminded us more of the deceased than some morose dirge-laden ceremony and allowed us to celebrate life.

Sure it hurts and is a tremendous loss, but sometimes it helps to focus on the positive aspects of their LIFE and not the tragedy of their DEATH. Remembering the good times is as much a part of grieving as feeling the loss.

I totally agree - it depends on the wishes of the deceased and those of the family. And I think they spun Dave's thoughts out of bounds. I think he was saying he would rather do something his wife would have found amusing in life and find a little bit of joy despite the tragedy of loss.

when my Grandmother died it was horribly sad, but we all got together, drank, and remembered the good times. She was a great woman, the heart of our family, and it was only right to honor who and what she was that way.

Of course we are Irish and that's kind of the tradition. Others might not find it as comforting.

I don't think that law means much, because apartment complexes forbid use of dishes all the time. Mine does it as do a lot of places in my area. It's just part of the agreement you sign to get a lease - I think they work around the law by wording it as "I voluntarily agree to this stipulation."

Hell, I can't have the cable company put any extra inputs into my current apartment. i have to split the input in the living room and have a couple hundred feet of cable running through my house so I can have cable in my bedrooms.
