almost every chick i've become friends with, even coworkers, it's during a time when they're either unhappy in a relationship, or single. i inevitably fail to hook up with them, but then have the misfortune of hearing all about the stupid things they put up with in their new relationship and how crappy the guy is. but you can't say he's crappy since now she's your "friend".

i don't know if the sexual attraction ever really goes away, but after a few years (and hearing about the STD the last guy gave them), it's hard to take it seriously.
