Isn't this thread title a little misleading. He doesn't work for OnA anymore, he works for CBS. So if he's leaving anyone, it would be CBS.

Not necessarily true. He could be re-assigned inside CBS. Perhaps he got a PD gig.

Al's official title is Assistant Program Director. Part of his job duties was working the dump for O&A. It wasn't his only job, just a part of it.

He didn't work for the show, he worked for the station. So it's possible for him to leave the show and still work for CBS.

Listening to the O&A replay right now, they said that KROCK didn't treat Al right and he is leaving. Paraphrasing "they should have treated him better to keep him at KROCK."

That leads me to think that a move to XM and the Ron & Fez show isn't completely out of the question. However, would that be a smart career move; would it be an upward move, a lateral move, or a "demotion" of sorts?

IMO, it's only a demotion if it's not what you choose to do. As for Earl not moving up the ladder; he's just "stoo-peed".
