Living in LA I'm pretty surrounded with spanish only speakers. However its actually not as bad as people think, most people still only speak english and its Spanish only in select neighborhoods (ones that people of my color usually don't go anyway). If anything this country is going to become more like Europe where we all speak more than one language.

In regards to Telemundo having the highest ratings, if all English speakers only had one channel to watch I'm sure that would get amazing ratings too...its all relative.

they're already the largest minority "group". a lot of the largest cities no longer have majority-white populations, but the country as a whole will still be marjority-white until 2050, i think.

i was in the student union at the Univ. of Maryland once, and this girl with a wisconsin shirt on was there with her mother. i had to laugh when i heard her say, "we don't fit in here."

They may be starting to market these films but I haven't heard of either of these films nor seen them on any billboards. Do you think they are just trying to pick up the niche spanish only market? I just don't see any major studio doing a major major push for a spanish only blockbuster.

I just watched the movie trailor for this. It seems like its a good story line, but kinda a mix of "bring it on". I love Reggaeton, so im sure the soundtrack will be hot.



just a note....I liked El Cantante.
