Like a dope, I went out walking this morning on the shore by my brother in laws house in Northport. I walked for an hour or so with a shirt on, and got sweaty, so I took off the shirt. When I got back to their house, I went into a small boat and went out for an hour or so and forgot to wear the shirt and had no sunscreen on.
Now, my skin is radiating heat and a nice beet red.
It doesnt really hurt at this moment, but I know it will.
I just put some solarcane on. Any other suggestions/help/home remedy? Thanks!

BTW, this is not me. Im redder.

go to the grocery store and buy a couple of stalks of Aloe. Crack the leaf in half and schmear that shit all over you. It makes it better.

 Wow..That's A Pretty Unsightly Tan Line Pattern!

Um, COLD Shower And Then Aloe?? Maybe a Benadryl Or Other Antihistimane To Take It Down A Notch (That Works For Bee Stings, So It Would Probably Work For A Sunburn). Good Luck!

Hope you don't get sick. I got sunburn in Orlando once, that was so bad, I was sick for almost a week. Get the aloe, and make sure you drink plenty of water.

i was in ST Thomas and for four days I sat on the beach for at least 4 hours and used just an SPF 4 lotion and didn't get burnt. on the 5th day I decided to use oil and boy did i cook good. i had a bad case of the shivers that night and took a bath and dumped 12 buckets of ice in the water.

so where am I going with this you ask?

there were aloe plants around the hotel so my wife picked some, broke the plants open, rubbed the aloe nectar on my burn. at first yeah it feels pretty good but after it dried it was like someone put airplane model glue on my skin. any way I moved it felt like my skin was being pulled by fishhooks...

fuck that pure aloe shit

i was just flippin' out "why'd he quote me??" then i noticed the pure aloe plants that it might have looked like i was agreeing with. actually, i was referring to the solarcaine gel that we'd been going back-and-forth with. :)

get yourself into a sauna and sweat the sunburn out, then take a hot, superhot shower, and finally scrub your back with a good stiff loofa brush!!!:thumbup::thumbup:

I got scorched sitting out and boozin' at the US Open this weekend. Looks similar to yours but a different clothing pattern. I took some advil and then a washcloth dipped in tea (regular black liptons tea, obviously let it cool). I pressed that onto the burnned areas. Allegedly the tannins in the tea help reduce the stinging and burning. It feels okay.

Just make sure you lotion like a mofo or you're going to peel and look quite unsightly.

My gal got pretty burnt and we went to CVS to get some aloe type cream and the pharmacist told us to pat vinegar on the burn. She said it worked like gangbusters.

Oldest joke in the pharmacists' book.

joke nothing, that shit works.

being from the south, we use all kinda old remedies.....my grandmother believed in them. So do I.

I got sunburned bad as a child, she brought us in and put Pickle Juice (vinegar) and Lotion on the burns then made us take a HOT HOT bath, then did it all again. Yes, we did stink that night...but we had NO burn left in us even though the skin was beet red.

believe it or not, but that shit does work......I'm a believer.

When I was a kid my parents use to take us Point Pleasant. Being Irish, my sis and I always burned. Back in the day they didn't have SP95. But mom always had Noxema in a cooler. It stunk but it worked. For a while.

I got burned real bad when I was bout 17 and I went to the hospital. After the shot of demerol for the pain the doctor told me to go home and flatten out some brown grocery bags, soak them in vinegar then lay the bags on the burn. Leave em there til the vinegar is dried out adn repeat. You stink while you do it but I promise you it works.
