View Full Version : Carton and Boomer on WFAN

So I'm giving the show a listen....
In fairness, I am NOT a huge fan of the Carton and Boomer pairing on paper.
But the formula that seems to work best with Craig is Craig + Nice Guy. Craig and Sid didn't work because they were two antagonists. Craig and Rossi worked because it was Good Cop/Bad Cop. Boomer isn't exactly a "nice guy". He's more of a nice guy than Sid, but he's got more of an edge than Ray.
I like their interview style - Craig asks a question, then Boomer, and they rotate.
So far, it's pretty decent for a first show. It's not as bad as I thought their first show would be, and there seems to be a decent amount of chemistry. They ARE stepping over each other a bit though.
It also seems that Craig has carried over some of his Jersey audience. This is a good thing.

And Craig just mentioned him on the air. I think both Al and Lou Ruffino are producing the show, but it appears Charles McCord has cut ties with the show. Tracy Burgess is doing news.

Discussion: Schiano's work at Rutgers, and the potential of Schiano leaving to take over for Paterno at Penn state
Carlin: "You don't want to be the guy that follows The Guy. You want to be the guy AFTER the guy that follows The Guy."
Boomer: "Uh..."
Carton: "Well, you're talking to two guys that followed The Guy..."
I lol'ed.

Wow, I think Boomer just set the new radio two-a-day record.
He did a full four-hour morning show this morning and he's currently doing the analysis on Westwood One for the Colts/Saints game.
Which means he's going to do 8 hours of radio over 1000 miles apart.
Marv Albert, who is doing PBP for the game, and whose trademark is just destroying boomer on-the-air, is just ragging on him for being tired. It's funny as hell.

His 1993 season he was top-10 in pass attempts, completions, yards, and TD's.

I actually created a genius schedule -
Wakeup to 10am - Carton and Boomer.
10a-12p - last half of O&A + best of
12-3 R&F.
3-7 O&A replay.

I'm ok with that schedule except I can't stand WFAN New Yorkkkkkkk. F'n hate the METS!!!!! And all other NY teams. Carton & Rossi were on at 2 and I would switch back and forth between them and R&F but I no longer have to worry about that so that problem has been solved. I hate listening to replay if I already listened to the show live thats when I surf XM and hit up the country stations.

I don't listen that often, and when I do it's only a few minutes at a time. So, I don't know if this is par for the course, but today both Boomer and Carton were breaking Al Dukes' balls big time. It seems like he put through a guy who claimed that he was one of the guys who caught the Bonds ball.
Carton asked "Are we sure that it's the real guy?" The Fabulous Al Dukes responds that he thinks it is because he asked the guy to swear to God that it was him. Everybody starts laughing and calling Al an idiot and the caller chickens out and winds up hanging up. Al's defense was "Well he swore to God, so he now has to answer to a higher power."
The more things change, the more they stay the same. Miss Al Dukes.

The show is OK. Carton is definately controlling the show with Boomer chiming in. I can see some point down the line Boomer getting tired of the 3am wake up calls and dropping it, leading to Carton and Continent...

At first I said it was "OK", but I have the change that now and said I think this show is Very Good and constantly improving. Boomer and Carton have better chemistry now and Boomer is not as hesitant to get mixed up in coversation he may have stayed away from in the past.
Plus, Al Dukes sings!
I don't even think about turning to Mike and Mike at this point, and only go to O&A if they start talking about A-Rod AGAIN.

I don't, it's just the conversation on the NYRMB amused me; there are people on there who wanted the show to be wall-to-wall sports and dissect every single thing that happened during the Giants game.
I think the funniest quote in the entire thread was the claim that Carton was not a "sports guy".
I will say this; although Carton's got an edge, the bitterness in his voice has disappated a LOT since he left 101.5. You can absolutely tell he's loving working at WFAN.

This is now my favorite morning terrestrial radio show. How has noone thought of doing a local morning sports show in NY on FAN? Because Imus was so popular? They will take some of Mike and Mike's audience away(espnization of sports is total annoying national sports issues are boring) and will hurt what left of O and A's. I remember likeing Sid(crackhead) and Scott(sportsguys!) but they had no shot of stealing an audience at that time in NY radio.

Another thing that will help out the Fan a lot in this situation is that ESPN does not come in AT ALL in Jersey. Add that to the name recognition that Craig has in NJ, and you've got something cooking.

Sorry to resurrect this thread but I've just started listening to these guys over the last month or so because I've gotten bored of Mike & Mike.
I dig the chemistry between Boomer and Chris.
Chris is such a straight forward clown/jackass that it makes him seem personable.
Now I'm sure this has been talked about already but it's my understanding that Chris was on one of the old NEW shows but I'm not sure which one.
The " Sports Guys " show or whatever it was called seemed to have a revolving door so at what time was Carton on there and who was his partner ?

Carton has a bit of Mad Dog Russo in him; he'll throw stuff out there to annoy some and wait for the responses.
Boomer is pretty vanilla - although when he says he knows Football I believe him, as opposed to when Fatso Francessa says it.
I find their show to be pretty good- but like any sports talk show, its all dependent on what has happened the night before.

Ah, see, this is the confusion.
By "Chris", do you mean "Craig"?
Chris CARLIN is the update guy, and the voice of Rutgers football.
Craig CARTON is the former Jersey Guy from 101.5 and former Sports Guy.
(I guess with the similar last names and initials, people get confused.)
Craig was on WNEW back in 2001. He worked with Sid Rosenberg (who went on to IMUS, then had a few drug episodes and ended up getting fired, now clean and sober working on Miami's version of the FAN) and then worked with Blain Ensley. He was on the air and reporting live when 9/11 happened.

"briefly?"
Sid was on Imus for years. I would probably say 2002-2005. Sid was edgier than Imus, and Imus and Charles took great lengths to keep him reeled in.
He did make some comments that in a Post-Imus world would have gotten him nailed to the wall. But that was before everything hit the fan.
Sid wasn't fired for content; he was fired because he had major drug problems.
Sid was the same way Craig was - you either loved him or hated him but always listened to him. The problem is, you can't have personalities like Sid and Craig in the same room - it's TOO edgy and unlistenable. That's why the Rossi/Carton and Boomer/Carton pairings work.
Great line today:
Craig: "What do you call it - capicol or gabbagoul?"
Chris: "I call it delicious."

It was -
Sid and Craig.
Craig & two other guys (Eddie Ifft? Someone was in there)
Craig and Blain Ensley, from Rocky Allen Showgram on PLJ.
Ferrall and Blain.
Ferrall solo.
Ferrall gets fired in the St. Pat's mess, replaced with Richard Neer doing a WFAN-style show on WNEW (they used FAN branding and everything) and then finally, one last guy who I think was simulcast from Atlanta.

Chris Carlin and Craig Carton... It's pretty easy to confuse the two. I like the chemistry between Craig and Boomer but when one of them is on vacation the show is not as good. I always thought of Craig and Sid as very similar acts. They both play up the gambling aspect. They both talk about the chicks quite a bit, and try to push the envelope. I don't think Craig has any of the addiction problems that have plagued Sid however. With Craig it's an act. With Sid it was a lifestyle. Ronny talks about days at NEW when Sid would hang around the station for hours after his shift because there were usually guys outside waiting for him. He'd usually slink away under the cover of darkness... Probably to the nearest crap game.

The incidents about the Williams Sisters and Dish Network happened when he was on IMUS. That led up to him being fired from Imus - the Kylie Minogue thing was the last straw.
He did do weekend work on WFAN, but I think that was basically "auditions" for him to get a new job somewhere else; to prove he was clean and was reliable. They had already given his spots for the mid-day show to Roberts and his Giants pregame spot to Carlin, so it wasn't like they were going to fire them to put Sid back in.
He ended up in Miami and it sounds like he's doing pretty good down there; I guess it's a hard lesson to learn.

What a revolving door lineup.
I think Opie called them the Menudo oof radio.
Loved the Sports Guys.
My favorite bit that stands out was the cockfight.
It may have been a work, but made for good radio.
The Sports Guy Lineup:
Scott Kaplan and Sid Rosenberg (Scott and Sid)
Scott Kaplan, Sid Rosenberg, Eddie Ifft, and John Riggins
Sid Rosenberg and Eddie Ifft
Sid Rosenberg, Craig Carton, and Eddie Ifft
Sid Rosenberg, Craig Carton, and Blain Ensley
Craig Carton and Blain Ensley
Scott Ferrall and Blain Ensley
Scott Ferrall
Chris Dimino
Richard Neer and Harris Allen (WFAN on WNEW)
Sid was on WFAN from 2002-2005 as Imus's update guy and also was co-host of the Mid-Day show with Jody Mac and later, Joe Beningo.
He was dropped from the Imus show after he made some comments about Kylie Minogue in early 2005, and then fired altogether in late 2005 when he missed a Giants pre-game broadcast. He was replaced on the Imus show with Chris Carlin, and on the mid-day show with Evan Roberts.
Ironically, one of the producers of the Sports Guys is now a high-ranking bigwig in Viacom radio.

With Sid it was a lifestyle. Ronny talks about days at NEW when Sid would hang around the station for hours after his shift because there were usually guys outside waiting for him. He'd usually slink away under the cover of darkness... Probably to the nearest crap game.
Damn, I've never heard that before. Anybody got a clip? Back when I was interning with the Dragons, Sid was doing play by play for a season or two. He always seemed like he was somewhat aloof and checking over his shoulder. After his demons became public, it all came together.

To Al's credit, Craig hasn't bashed at all... and Craig had issues with other producers.
My question is this -
Mark Feinsand (sp?) was on Friday... they were telling a story about how someone at WFAN went ballistic because Mark, an intern at the time, ate an unauthorized slice of pizza.
Mark and Eric Spitz (PD of WFAN) both protected who the guilty party was... it's either Russ Salzberg, Russo, or Mike Francesa.

Outside of the "legends" seating, I'm pretty sure that prices have only elevated a little bit. It's the scalpers right now who are making a premium on the newness of both stadiums.
That being said, the Yankees actually REDUCED prices on a lot of food because they run their own concessions now. $6 beer. So in the end, it becomes a wash.

I wouldn't go that far. It's definitely a very different dynamic than Craig had with Ray. I will admit that Boomer is very wooden some times, but that's part of the show's uniqueness.

Mostly the calls that were anti-Jets and he was hanging up on them midsentence and then rambling on about how it's great for New York and every New Yorker should love it.
And today he's making bold predictions that the Jets are gonna win, which I'd expect from a fan of the team, but they come off so lame because he's not putting anything up for it.
If the Jets win he'll do an " I told you so " but if they lose he'll pass it off as " Well that was supposed to happen ".
He needs to lock himself into another bet like walking across the bridge and that'd put so emphasis on his pick.

Mushnick.
This was his quote -
What's worse, WFAN's Craig Carton's cruel references to that young, unhinged ESPN go-fer who was played by Steve Phillips -- Carton repeatedly called her "a pig" -- or Boomer Esiason's indulgence of it? By the way, at 48, isn't it time Esiason went with something a tad more adult than Boomer -- maybe Corky or Biff?
Never mind the fact that he's been known as Boomer his entire playing career and it's basically his brand.

It's because your post makes you sound like a fucking asshole. First, Jay was in there for about 30-40 minutes and maybe 5 minutes of that was discussing Nikki. Secondly, either Boomer or Craig brought up Nikki and wanted the backstory on how they met. Don't forget, we as O&A/R&F fans have heard Jay's stories for years, but this was Jay's 3rd of 4th appearance on WFAN so they may not know.
You're just being a passive aggressive twat, "you know, I know she USED to be attractive..." whenever Jay is asked about Nikki, he ALWAYS SAYS - ALWAYS - how she makes him laugh. To some people, that's important. And also, I haven't seen a recent pic of Nikki in a few years. So maybe her look has changed. The pic they showed on WFAN was better than I've seen.

I was skeptical about 2 of their interviews this week when I first heard about them.
The Leyrtiz one and Jenn Sterger.
I thought they'd avoid the negtaivity of Leyritz but that's essentially all they talked about which I thought was good.
With Sterger I thought they'd again avoid conflict but Carton was all over here even referring to her as a " skank " when he was saying what was coming up in the show.
I was watching it on MSG and you could see how uncomfortbale she was.
A few times she called Carton rude in a snotty way.
It was good stuff.

Im watching the Jenn Sterger interview now on MSG and I must admit its a pretty good interview. She looks hot because shes not overly done up. I also give her credit for sitting there and talking about this and taking on everything (for the most part). Carton is doing a good job of asking the questions that others wouldnt ask even though hes a little over the top!
The best thing that came out of this interview is that SHE NEVER MET BRETT FAVRE EVER! So Favre was texting her purely because he saw a picture of her or seen her on the sidelines etc. He has bigger balls then expected. Dont you have to at least have spoken to someone before you email your junk to the person?

What makes you think he has the brains? Because hes a good guy and religious? He actually has incredible physical talents to me its his brains that are the problem. His brain wont allow him to listen and learn. Not to mention its also his brain that has allowed him to be fooled by religion as much as he has been! Maybe he is too stupid? He never said that he was a rocket scientist. He said he had a brain.
He also was making the point, I believe, that you'd have to be fairly intelligent to be good enough to lead a team to a title and by doing so win awards.
The point Leaf was making, again in my opinion, is that he has a good head on his shoulders to where he's not gonna get caught up in nonsense and things off the field. Not that he was gonna cure cancer or disect complicated defenses.
And how the hell do you know how smart any of those other guys you mentioned are ?
Have you spent anytime with them ? Seen their test scores ? Know if they read books ?
Aside from Young and his awful score on the Wunderlik ( sp ?? ) I've never heard anything with regards to the intelligence of those guys you mentioned.
So in your world you're only intelligent if you have your PhD ?
That makes what, like 1%, maybe , of the world intelligent ?

No I don't think only PHD's are intelligent or that any of these players are smart or not! My point was that it doesn't take brains or smarts to win a college national championship it takes athletic ability and talent. Tebow is known by many to have incredible athleticism. Just like we do not know if any of those other players I mentioned are geniuses or idiots the same goes for Tebow. We have no proof of his intelligence and to make the point that he has brains is silly. Its because he is a nice guy and overly religious that many people make that assumption.
I believe someone doesn't go from a great athlete to shit from 1 level to another. To me its more about their mental or their willingness to learn. So I was saying that maybe just maybe Tebow isn't as smart as some are saying. Maybe he cant comprehend or understand what he is being told or maybe he just doesn't want to listen or believe that their is another way to do something. I used his religion as an example because he has such blind, unwavering faith that it could be that he is closed minded and wont allow his brain to be broadened.

i highly disagree with this statement. First of all, he was on the most talented team in the country. that helps. ALOT
2, college is a different game. Alot of guys who fail in the NFL that were good in college fail because they werent smart enough to understand the NFL. Thats why they try to move guys to TE or WR or whatever, cause most DO have the physical tools to play. Just not the brain.
You are aware that NFL offense and defense is a hell of a lot more complicated than college, right? Well, the reason most guys dont succeed in the NFL is cause of that. Not cause they werent fast enough

I don't think Tebow's letting his religion influence whether or not he can take snap from under center.
To Snoogans point he ran a different offense in college, and while I think it takes some level of intelligence to be able to comprehend play callins/audibles and the like, the NFL is a whole other level.
Tebow failing would be no more different than any of the QB's from the late 80's that ran option type offenses.
He was just given more of a chance than any of those guys because people like him for reasons only they know.

And it worked amazing. And i agree, i dont think tebow is a stupid guy. I think what snacks means by tebow not having the brains is, he doesnt think quickly enough to ever be able to run an NFL offense, and 2 seems too stubborn to do some things he needs to do to have a chance to be successful.

First, fuck you. I'm probably one of the most brutally self-aware people on this board, at least, what's left of it.
Secondly, go back and re-read what I said. I'm not denying Tebow is an athlete. What I said he doesn't have the tools to be an NFL QB.
I think he could be a tight end or a fullback, or possibly even an undersized speed linebacker. But we don't know this. What we've seen from Tebow is five or six starts, the first being in a shitty failed system and the second attempt in a failing team and is unwanted by his coach and GM.
I mean, seriously. How is Tebow supposed to succeed when those who run the team have given him ZERO support?
I would like him to succeed, mainly because I think professional athletes in general should be more like Tebow. And that's not even about the religious thing, I couldn't give a shit about what he believes in.
If you think religion makes you dumb and you can't succeed as a QB because of being highly religious, let me introduce you to two guys: Steve Young and Kurt Warner. Religion has absolutely NOTHING to do with succeeding on the field.
It's possible to understand the game but be shitty on the field playing it. That's why Dilfer's an analyst now.
I mean, the defense here is that Urban Meyer built the offense around his QB. Forgive me if I'm wrong... BUT ISN'T THAT WHAT YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO DO!?

No, the NFL usually doesnt build its team or offense around a QB they draft or create their QB to succeed in their offense. The only coach to ever do this that I can think of in the NFL was Shula.
Why should most NFL players be more like Tebow? No one needs to be anything they dont want to be. Everyone should be good but thats not the case. Parents should be their kids role models, if you want athletes to be good, top notch citizens then you will have a long wait. Most athletes come from tough back grounds. Plus sports in general are meant to bring out the fight in you. Many cant turn it on when on the field and off when off. Not saying some cant but many cant. The difference is who you surround yourself with and what gets reported to or by the media.
I want my athletes to be animals on the field and if they are good off thats a plus but means nothing to me because they are meant to entertain not raise my family, or my friends families or society in general. Thats what parents, teachers, family friends and communities are for.

Wait, if its not about religion, what way should QBs be more like tebow? Goin around grandstanding about some shit thats supposed to be private?
id like to inform you that tim tebow isnt religious how most people you know are religious. He worships in an evangelical crazy fuckin christian church. If you ever actually read about the shit his church does and the fuckin sham that they are, you will realize why snacks called it stupid.
Steve Young and Warner were religious. But they werent crazy, and for the most part, they werent shoving it down everyones throat and tryin to tell them what to believe.
I think, personally, that tim tebow and his stupid mom and all the other people who are in that church are really all about themselves. Thats why tebow does all this public grandstanding.
if you havent read it yet matty, go to deadspin and read this:
http://deadspin.com/5856237/the-stupid-moral-panic-over-mocking-tim-tebow-or-what-would-jesus-do-about-tebowing
and keep this part in mind:
And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full. But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.

Young was quiet about his religion, but Warner most definitely was NOT, and I think Warner was more over the top with his religion than Tebow was.
And besides, Tebowing isn't even Tebowing, it was Bavaroing first, and Bavaro added crossing himself to the mix.

warner talked an awful lot about his faith. and his wife was a bitch. but he never came off, to me at least, as acting as if people were wrong who werent that way. warner never seemed better than people.
There is something to tebow that makes him seem he thinks that, but even still, its not even about tebow. tebow is just caught in it. its about everyone being sick of how the media talked about him. thats why he is gettin all this. its not about him.

The Sign of the Cross
The MOST BASIC CATHOLIC PRAYER!
http://catholicism.about.com/od/prayers/qt/Sign_of_Cross.htm
Since we make the Sign of the Cross before and after our prayers, many Catholics don't realize that the Sign of the Cross is a prayer itself. It should be said with reverence; we shouldn't rush through it on the way to the next prayer.
Using your right hand, you should touch your forehead at the mention of the Father; the lower middle of your chest at the mention of the Son; and the left shoulder on the word "Holy" and the right shoulder on the word "Spirit."
The Sign of the Cross
"In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen."

I know it's a limited pool of results, but look at Aaron Maybin. (sorry Weeka) Change of team, different coach, and suddenly he's contributing after being called the Worst Player in the NFL.
I'm not saying build a completely different system, but it's obvious he's got zero support from the Powers that Be in Denver.
Same thing could be said for Doug Flutie. Was written off as too small, and came back and contributed to an NFL team.

why not change the entire team? so there are 53 players minus Tebow equals 52 players.
It was a joke unlike your seriousness of an NFL team changing their entire offense and organisation to fit Tebow. IT WILL NEVER HAPPEN nor should it! No team is going to put that much into 1 player, especially a player that no one that is still there wanted in the 1st place. No other team will trade for him or pick him up either and do this. Its not financially smart and it really doesnt make sense. You make it sound like Tebow deserves every opportunity to succeed? Yet he has proven in his pre draft tryouts, camps, mini camps and in actual games that he will never succeed! Why should any team do that for him? Because hes a nice guy and you want your kids to idolize him? Not a reality sorry!

Are you fucking serious? You are using a guy who plays defense and has had a couple of good plays for your team as an example of what can be done with a QB? First Maybin hasn't done much, he has 3 sacks, 5 tackles and oh yes he has forced some fumbles but he hasn't turned into LT. He has become part time, very limited player for the jets. Its also much easier to take a LB or DL and turn him loose in to a new system but a QB needs BRAINS!

wait, aaron maybin is a QB now? That has nothing to do with not knowing how to read an entire defense. a receiver or RB has to read 1 or 2 guys. Same with most defensive positions. This has no relation to playin QB at all. Its not that tough for a DL or a LB to learn his role and keys and shit. Its alot different for a QB.

3 sacks for the Jets in 1/2 a season is still 3 more than he had in two seasons with the Bills.
My example was that sometimes, players flourish when given the right system and the right coach, and it's obvious that the fit is not there in Denver.

I like how everyone is conveniently forgetting my example of Flutie, though. He play LB too?
My points are the following:
1) It is clear that Tebow has zero support from coaches and management in Denver because they've done nothing but fucking bury him.
2) He is still a rookie QB in the NFL in a new system after having to flush the old system last year.
3) The sample size to bury a 2nd year QB is still small. He's had, what, 7 or 8 starts? If that?

In all honesty why are you arguing for this guy? There has to be some other motivation for you to be riding the Tebow wagon of love? He doesn't play for the Jets! Is Florida your fav college football team? I just dont understand why you want to see him succeed so badly?
There have been tons of great college players that have done dick in the NFL and never given a chance yet you pick this guy? Leinart for example. He looked like shit at times but he also looked pretty good yet hasnt been given a chance in 4 years since his injury. Vince Young has a proven winning record but yet hes now pretty much a back up and looks like he might stay that way for years to come. Nothing Tebow has done has shown he is a good or could be a good NFL QB.
Im sure within 5 years when hes out of the league he will start a church, have a weekly Sunday morning church show, take millions in donations weekly, go to poor countries with food and clothing but will only share those things as long as those poor people take his bible. call Jesus their savior and come to bible study. Once this all happens Im sure he will have a traveling church show that comes to a stadium near you at least once a year. Its not like you will lose him forever!

Not to mention he's getting buried bc he's starting OVER a guy who has some abilities now, in any system versus a guy who used the HUGE talent divide that exists in college football (Snoogans point) to win some championships. Seems pretty similar to that USC phenomenon too doesn't it? If the coaches didn't support the guy in any light as you say, why is he even starting? Bc the fans chanted his name a few times? He is starting over 2 guys in Denver who at least were better during camp and a 3rd guy was cut that at 1 time during camp was ranked higher on the depth chart. If I remember correctly they said at 1 point during training camp he was #4 out of 4 and that he could be cut but obviously they couldnt cut a 1st rounder that quickly.
He is terrible as a thrower and always has been. He is an incredibly talented athlete who can run and do athletic things on the field. He just isnt a QB and never was. Even in college his freshman year he would come in on short yardage plays or goal line plays and take the snap from the shot gun and run it. He is stubborn and wants to be an NFL QB even though he probably would have success as a TE or a fb/rb tweener.
As for proving us wrong, thats a great reason to back him. That statement alone proves a lot!

If it was on MSG, it might have been a union job and she could move on to something else. I'm going to guess a 4 hour gig would not be that lucrative.

I'm really starting to hate Carton more.
This gimmick where he's all of a sudden a poser Yankee fan is so lame.
I mean I know he self admits he's being a front runner but I think at heart he loves it.
I don't see him jump on the Giants bandwagon when the Jets lose. It should be the same deal.
Also I'm under the belief that Tom Coughlin is Irish so why the hell does Carton's " impersonation " make him sound like an 80 year old Russina Jewish guy ?

They interviewed Joe Tacapina ( sp ?? ) this morning.
It was pretty good except for the doucheness coming off of Tacapina.
What I liked is that neither Boomer or Carton was buying his shit.
They weren't rude and it never got condescending on either side but you could see they were agreeing to disagree.
The one thing that kiled me was Tacapina was shooting down the " evidence " they suggested by saying " somebody tells you something and you just believe it " the whole time he was telling them something and wanting them to believe it.
I wanted them to say " Well why are you telling any more of a truth than the others ? "
He also had a crappy answer when they brough up that A-Rod said he didn't know Bosh and then siad he did.
Tacapina said that it was one of A-Rod's people that made the statement that they didn't know each other and that A-Rod can't know all that his people say.
But they never pressed him on how a spokesperson for A-Rod could be so wrong and A-Rod, or even another spokesperson, went on record to clarify it.
