OK...
Dave turns 30 on Nov 1. I would love to throw him a BIG party but I need ideas.
Only requirements... Must be in NYC/NJ area. Must be able to be attended by 30+ people. Must have booze. Must not be too pricey.
You got an idea? Let's hear it.
Thanks

the bowling alley in port authority is always a good choice.
not sure if it has booze, though.
i would think that it has to.

Booze Cruise. If you have enough people, you can get a reasonable price. Although the first week of November might be too late. A quick search of "New York Booze Cruise" brings up a lot, but if you can get XM behind this, it could work out.

the booze cruise that my bro threw for his b-day last year ran everybody $80/head, i think.
but that was also with high-known dj's as well and top shelf drinks.
im sure in off season, with more beer than drinks, you could really knock down the price.
also...
im sure Art of the Topless would be more than happy to perform un-show related material at a very very very reasonable cost.

I have been looking for an excuse to pay or help set up a Booze Cruise
Maybe a Poll could be started..
You Usualy throw away $20 bucks for a meal
and $50-$70 on Drinks..
So this isnt out of the Realm , its the Non Drinkers that would need to either Pay Less or Be Troopers...

First off... No one likes traveling to brooklyn from what I have heard. Mass transit is a bitch for people who want to drink etc...
ALSO, Its not a HUGE spot and if a lot of people came it would be slightly cramped.
I dunno... It's not out... I just really want to make his 30th a biggie.

At fist I thought of where I work to see if the date or around that date was available. Cause if we can do it there you can fit up to 200 people and there's a big stage to do performances.
But there are no dates available around that time :(
Buuuuuut, there's a bar right next door called Crime Scene. It's not as big of a space but it's still a really good size. The drink are fairly reasonable (where I work it's more expensive)
and they can still have a band there. It's a fun bar and If you even wanted to you can have kareoke there.
There also have a pool table and a beer pong table.
How does that sound?
I can talk to them in a couple of days in person if you want me to. And we can try to book the day for just this party.
I've known them since they opened so I can strike a really good deal on this place. :)
Oh, and it's on the Lower East SIde.

That is really more of an idea for a funeral rather than a birthday party.
The Fish Under the Sea dance is a great idea. Earl can be Marvin...Marvin BERRY. And Pitzy can be the guy in Biff's crew with the 3D glasses. Pitzy can call Earl a spook and then get chased away.
Whatever you decide on, it should end with a trip to the Chinese place that has free wine.
