Just posting to a link. Do you let Ken Blackwell do all your thinking for you???

Democrats shouldn't put up with this BS. GWB already flew the mission accomplished flag on Iraq so why do Dems let the right saddle them with the "you want to lose and you hate America" garbage???

Did you guys read the column? That fuck-tard is just making shit up! Since when did it become OK to just write blatant lies and call it reality? I guess when Fox News opened its doors.

An opinion column by Ken Blackwell is somehow "expertise"? The man is a hack...such a hack that he was willing to be Ohio's Chief Elections official in 2004 & the co-chairman of the Bush re-election campaign.

So that guy likes Republicans huh? I never would have guessed it.

I agree with you in principal about the 14 months stuff .... as that is a long time in the world of politics.

But I totally think we are in the driver's seat on 08'. The Republicans are on the wrong side of too many of the big issues for wedge issues or dirty tricks to matter. Bush fucked the Republican ticket this time around with not only his political failures, but his udder lack of caring. He clearly doesn't give a shit what the American public thinks....and this fact hurts the Republican's candidate.

epo, i think you're crazy if you think anything that bush has done will in anyway effect the party.

If actions meant anything, he wouldn't have found himself in office for another term.

the fact is i don't think Americans pay attention, and if they do then they obviously don't really care.

and seriously, Obama and Hillary? should I start laughing now or wait till the election?

a black man and the wife of what seems to be the general consensus of the republican party, the worse president in history!!! HOW DARE HE GET A B.J.!!!!!

anyway, yeah, i wouldn't be surprised if one of the bush twins gets voted into office.

Certainly that was the case in 2004, but now you are talking about a President whose approval rating sits about 28% in this nation. And here is the rub....every candidate the Republicans put up is going to be portrayed like this by the Democrats:

Candidate = Bush.

This will include voting records, joint photos, stories from his mother....whatever it takes, but that strategy will be in play.

I know...he's black and she's....A SHE! The great thing about people who "don't think America is ready" is THEY aren't ready. Or of course they are republicans who feed that shit until somebody sez....Condie Rice should be President. Then of course they get a Viagra-stained hard-on and jerkoff to pictures of Fred Thompson's trophy wife.

Both Clinton & Obama are serious candidates who are more capable of running this nation than the current fuckup.

Did you watch Leno last night too? He made that funny, funny joke about Monica sucking Bill's dick. Oh my...I laughed and laughed for nearly an hour!

Seriously dude....I don't know if you've noticed, but one of Hillary's greatest-assets is Bill. He is the the most recognizable "political brand" and quite frankly it's the best one in this nation. People love Bill, especially now as we move away from the Starr-witch hunt.

And of course hardcore Republicans hate Bill. Clinton ran a good government, played the sax, kissed babies and fucked interns. That bastard!

The biggest problem with this country today is the lack of morals and how we praise the people with no morals.

This is the biggest problem I feel we as a nation face today.

Morals? You expect morals from people of any political affiliation with power? Why not expect something better....good government?

This is the exact argument the hayseeds used to justify Bush...the "he's a moral man" bullshit...just because he apparently only fucks his wife. Of course they didn't notice that Bush was gonna be too busy fucking the country over to play the field. I mean the man does need his 8 hours of sleep each night and that just doesn't leave him time for anything else.

I'd like to thing that the moral problem is the corporate control over government. No bid contracts. Ignore the underpriviledged. Shitting on New Orleans. Starting ill-advised wars. That would be a bigger moral problem for the nation, than some fat girl who wants to suck yer dick.

If you don't think people in power haven't been fucking people other than their spouses since the beginning of mankind then you my friend are a rube.

We will never have a "good government" in this country until we get some sort of self respect and respect for others in this country.

Most everyone has a "better than you" attitude and until that changes, this country as a whole is going down the tubes.

I'm no better than anyone else, but I'm sure most everyone thinks they are much better than me.

Until we can all admit we are all together and not better than the person standing next us, we are all fucked.

It really is a crime that I can't find one possible candidate on any side that I can relate to. I'm neither Dem or Rep. I just want a candidate who isn't a complete corporate shill, understands that foreign policy is more than just throwing money at a problem and actually cares about improving the lives of the working class by shifting the national tax burden even further onto the rich. As far as I can tell none of these candidates qualify.

I might be insane but I'd like to see Gore throw his hat in the ring. Sure it'll never happen but I can hope can't I. I don't give a fuck how boring he is or if he's carbon neutral. The guy is a legitimately brilliant man and he has all the experience that Obama is lacking. I can't say for sure that I'd vote for him but I sure as fuck would love to hear how he would fix the world of shit that Bush has gotten us into.

Thrice, I agree with you, but I don't think that type of person (politician) exists.
Honesty and freedom from corporate influence simply isn't there.
Sadly, the corporate world has been running and ruining congress and the country since the 30's, and I don't see it turning around anytime soon.
Thomas Jefferson said:
"A single government... of the most extensive corruption, indifferent and incapable of a wholesome care over so wide a spread of surface... will not be borne, and you will have to choose between reformation and revolution. If I know the spirit of this country, the one or the other is inevitable. Before the canker is become inveterate, before its venom has reached so much of the body politic as to get beyond control, remedy should be applied." --Thomas Jefferson to William T. Barry, 1822. ME 15:389

We, as a nation have forgotten the Constitution and Bill Of Rights on which this country was founded.

as for the republican party, i dont see one candidate that i see fit for pres. maybe fred thompson, but thats a stretch.

as for the democrats, they cant get out of their own way. every day that they are in congress, they destroy their chance for the white house with pure stupidity. sure, idiot in office has a 28% approval rating, but, if im correct, the douches in congress have an even lower approval rating.

but, as always, you'll never hear or read this on the mainstream media or cnn.

oh, by the way, did you know hillary has to give back about 850k in illegal donations?
if it wasnt on fox news, you'd never hear about it. i wonder why?

From CNN: Clinton to return $850,000 in donations (http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com/2007/09/11/clinton-to-return-850k-in-questionable-cash/)

Your falling for the extreme right's "I told you so it's right" mentality. The whole "liberal mainstream media" complaint is a crock of shit, because their taking any apathetic American who will listen to or read whatever is in front of them as someone who needs guidance, someone who needs truth, someone who needs to contribute to THEIR ratings. Some people don't care. And some people who do will find the truth on their own. And it won't be from Fox News. It won't be from CNN.

So it's not the media's fault if someone has the wrong impression, it's their own.

Two Things:

1. Fred Thompson is worse than most as he is the MOST corporately controlled of all of them (shit the fucker worked as a lobbyist)...but there is another thread on this.

2. As for your information about Congress....Congress historically almost always has a lower approval rating as a whole than the executive wing....but then again...Faux News wouldn't "accidently" not tell you that...would they?

Actually, Fox News is where I learned about that factoid.

Sorry epo.

But to be fair to you, that one post about Fox News being the only network that said anything about the Hsu scandal was unfair, and you did a good job pointing out the CNN article.

I don't usually watch CNN, I am more online with CNN. I split my viewing between Fox and MSNBC. I even put up with Keith Olberman, that pompous windbag. "good night and good luck" Yeeeuuuch!
