So what did you guys think?
Not as good as the British version, but you've got to figure that most people haven't watched it (it's now on BBC..check your listings)
but I thought tonight's show was a good start, and the douche that ran the joint is a fucking dick! Ramsey wanted so bad to beat the shit out of him...suntanning shitlick

I was in the city today and totally forgot about taping it. I watched an episode of the BBC one and it was pretty good. Kinda heartfelt and wholesome. Well, the Americanized side of show always play off the Angry Brit.

never seen it before, never seen him before, but i loved it! the owner peter was a complete douche, you could tell there were some genuinely good people working in that place like the chefs and the sister, and that whole operation was being dragged down. i really had no expectations of the show but it was a fun hour of television, gordon ramsey was awesome, honest, and blunt, but i just wish they would show it uncensored like the british version i've now read about. i will definitely check this one out next week, and probably download the bbc show if i can find it

i think show's with really excessive language should be played on fucking bravo or fx after hours like at one. you know, a replay but uncensored. that'd be cool. but, channels wouldn't go for it.

well it makes sense because human beings bleep themselves all the time, and plus the internet is censored so what do you expect

You'll like the BBC version, at least "shit" gets through..and some other colorful language.
I got turned on to the show by some other fans of Hell's Kitchen.
Love this stuff. Gordon is the shit, because he really does know his stuff and doesn't put up with ANY shit from anybody.
I gotta tell ya, I really thought that the Peter-fuck was going to get in Ramsey's face.
I felt bad for his family and co-workers as well. He's such a fucking ham&egger that he's been ruining the company that he sucks off of. I'd love to find the place and go there and see how it's doing. I don't even remember where it was...?

I thought it was better than most American TV,Peter was an ass,I wished they hadn't played down the repo of his caraspect,I've NOT seen Ramsey invest any of his own $ into a restaurant before(probably 50-75K on that kitchen/freezer equipment)...On the BBC version he'da told that lazy fuck to get out! unfortunately they DO show the best parts of the show in the highlights then water them down kinna like really bad movies do. I plan to watch it though just hoping that someone might actually get their ass kicked,I don't sincerely think it'll happen though.

I'm watching this week's episode on Tivo right now...
I like both the Brit and the US versions of the show, and it is interesting see the differences between the two.
I noticed, (in tonight's episode especially), that the US version attempts to follow the standard reality show format almost too much.
The Producers put in "confessional" type interviews and soooo much conflict. Ramsey is the ultimate protagonist of the BBC version; while the Americans on the show are so used to reality TV that they kind of know what role they are supposed to fit into. They then overact and cause unneeded conflict. This takes away from the US version by taking the spotlight off of Ramsey, who, in my opinion, has the energy to carry the show. The Brit version is a testament to that...

I liked last nights episode, it seemed like an easier change for him with the Mixing Bowl over the absolute disaster the Indian restaurant was last week.
It also seems from watching these shows that NY and Long Island have the worst restaurants. Did he go to restaurants outside the New York area? Even next week he's back on Long Island.
