Fish fighting

I was thinking up a hypothetical question up the other day that upon further research I've discovered is a real issue. Fish fighting. It seems that there are alot of videos online of fish fighting each other. Does this disgust you or do you have no problem with it? I guess fish can't be trained to do this or can they? Is this less offensive than dog fighting or just as bad? Would you bet on it and should players raising fish for the purposes of fighting be kicked out of the NFL? Alot of difficult questions indeed.

P.S. I don't own any fish nor have I participated in this practice.

as the fish maniac on this board, i personally have never heard of "fish-fighting" in terms of dog-fighting, but there are several species of fish which will fight one another.
perhaps the easiest to do would be the siamese fighting fish (bettas).
the males will fan their fins and fight to the death. some people that display them at fish conventions use mirrors on the outside of the tank (or bowl) so that the fish sees itself, thinks its another male, and flaunt their shit.

Ha! When I was in college, one of my roommates had the brilliant idea of staging Beta fish fights. We were going to charge people a cover to come watch and of course there would be gambling. We got about 15 people to show, but they refused to pay the cover. We let them in anyway and the released the fish into the arena of death. Long story short, the fish didn't fight. I think they ended up fighting at night so we couldn't enjoy it.

what i find odd, is that in that video, those are females fighting..

The fish should appoint a leader or representative so they are not taken advantage of. I would think Aquaman or Submariner could lead the fish union. If the fish are proactive they would protect their rights and keep the government from over regulating their league. Do we have any fish left? I'm starvin' ova here!
