Does anyone actually eat the end pieces of a loaf of bread?

ass of the bread ? No Fucking way. My mom would try to confuse me by putting the ass side in the sandwich so it would look like the regular slices. but i never fell for her stupidity.

I do, although never my first choice. We were yelled at for throwing them away. Ironically, my brother, who now lives down in S.C, disgards alot of food.

Same here, yet I used to eat the end pieces before any other. No longer, I strive for the center like every other.
Occasionally I do whip up a grilled cheese, end's only, and it makes me wonder why I abandoned them.

I wouldn't have em in sandwiches but if I only have the ends left, maybe I'll have a slice with some jelly.

Oh, yes, LOVE the corner brownies. One-edge brownies are OK, but just a bit too moist, and center brownies are just plain nasty.

If you eat the end cut of a roast beef, you eat the ends of the bread.
Sorry as in life, you take the good with the bad !

i agree. a good homemade, crusty loaf of bread, the crust is the best part. if it's bread out of a bag, the ends need to get tossed.

i love the heel of a good loaf of bread, corner brownies and corner sicilians, and the end pieces of a meat loaf or any kind of roast.
as for white bread, the ends are good for toasting, but i wouldn't use them for a sandwich.

Of course I eat the end pieces. However, in a loaf of bread I usually leave them until last, but that is partially because they are the same size. But it's also so the loaf looks like it's "shrinking."
