He really tags the prick that tries to be a big man and slam Mr. Smith during his Q&A. Nicely done.

However - it is NSFW (language) and the camera jumps around through part of it like they are hunting the Blair Witch.

After Forward, and all the obvious stealing from Louie CK, other comics and Chicago, I am surprised and disappointed that O&A would take a phone call from Dane Cook.

I don't care for his comedy, but I don't care of you like him either. It's not his comedy that's the issue.

It's the fact that one of the reasons O&A are so successful and, what I like a lot about them, is their ability to call crap on people. To point out if they're phony - if need be.

To take a call from him just goes against that principle.

Not that I know of. They have had the discussion with Louie CK and Joe Rogan has called him out, but I don't know if they ever brought it up with him.

Yeah I remember them talking with Louie CK and Rogan about it and even playing the audio.

If they have and he explained himself I can see them not wanting to rehash it. If not its definitely a topic they need to address, preferably on XM with him in studio.

Joe Rogan and Mencia have issues, to put it mildly. Joe spouted off about Mencia on several occasions, and O&A just let him vent.

I think O&A have friends on all sides of this issue, so they play the middle. For example, they let Joe Rogan go off on Carlos Mencia, but then Mencia came on and was able to defend himself.

They are friends with Louie CK, but also with Bob Kelly and Dane. And face it, Dane is one of the most popular comics out there right now. It helps the show to have him on.

O&A are ultimately about furthering the cause of O&A. As such, I am sure if Louie CK had called in during the Dane interview to "hash things out" they would have gone with it. He didn't, so they went with a normal phoner with a popular friend-of-a-friend comedian.

Somewhat - but as I said, they also brought Mencia on to say his piece. O&A tend to play both sides against the middle.

And I am sure Opie would say "It's not hypocrisy; it's good radio!" I don't know if I agree, but it seems to be their attitude.

no hypocrisy. they never said they had a problem with him when rogan was on. they had fun with rogan and egging him on, but didn't choose sides. rogan was on the tour as well. if he doesn't have a problem with o&a's featuring mencia (albeit at different venues) i don't think you should lose the sleep over it either. :)

When I was in college, I went from a skinny kid to a well-muscled adult because I started lifting a lot. In the span of approximately 12 months, I looked completely different.

Yeah, they talked about it a little yesterday but couched the comments in humor. "How could you get that big without steroids, Hah-hah [elbow to ribs]"

You are right, but I also think that lately O&A have been treading extremely close to doing what they fault others for - talking about people when they aren't there and/or not bringing up those comments when they ARE in studio. I know this has become the era of a kinder and gentler O&A, but they keep talking the old-school talk.

Of course maybe I am transferring my personal frustrations with life onto aspects of the O&A show. I don't know. Not like I am going to quit listening.
