Anybody else looking forward to this ?

I only started really watching this show over the summer through the reruns on Bravo but now I love it.

I was always a fan of the original L&O although not so much for SVU.

I've seen the commercial for the new season and I'm going carzy trying to figure out the plot.

I love Criminal Intent. Its really separated itself from the other two L&Os over the last couple of years.

Its on USA this year, which sucks because I don't have USA-HD, but I'm looking forward to the new season.

i am completely addicted to any kind of law & order, but i must say criminal intent and svu are the best. i usually find the svu cases more interesting, but i like the ci detectives much better than lame old elliot and olivia. dont tell my roommate that though--she's planning on naming her two kittens elliot and olivia haha.

the Commercial were Goren notices the USA Logo is quite funny

No give it another try, but do not watch it with Mr.Bigs & the other chick I do not like when they are on it. You have to watch with the original actors.

Of course, the primary, if not only, reason the show works is because of Vincent D'onofrio. The man does not get enought credit.

The coming attractions for this episode made me think it would be a little more them vs the Blue Wall so I was a little disappointed w/ that.

Other than that it was an OK episode.

I see they have another Oz/The Wire tie in ( the guy that played the warden's son and also plays the detective who's name who I can't think of right now ).

I'm looking forward to Alicia Witt. She much hotter than that short haired partner Logan had last season.

Is it me or has SVU jumped the shark recently?

The computer technology on this show is starting to remind me of the CSI crap with all kinds of chirping and beeping and morphing. Last week, the MTA bus had a billboard on the side for the NBC show Heroes.

All of the L&O shows have historically been careful to be authentic. I remember a scene that was supposed to take place in Co-Op City (Bronx, NY) was shot at a location I recognized in Ridgefield Park, New Jersey. The establishing shot of the scene was a close up of a fire hydrant. The continuity people on the show were astute enough to paint the fire hydrant black and silver to match those in NYC. (In Ridgefield Park, they're red and white.)

I always hated shows like CSI and NYPD Blue which have scenes obviously shot in California while L&O have always had the authentic New York feel.

I couldn't agree any more. The original ruled when Jerry Orbach was alive, but SVU has supplanted it.

I can't get into criminal intent. I think it's because of 2 things:

D'Onofrio's character is some kind of whiny, smartass Columbo wannabe. I just dislike his character. In contrast, I like the characters in SVU and the original and want to see them succeed.

The Captain's hair. I can't stand that fucker's man-perm! It really annoys the hell out of me.

Absolutely! Vincent is the best, he makes the show.

I don't have cable, so unfortunately I can't watch the premier..let me know how it is!

I enjoy seing all the Oz Criminals that are Cops and Criminals on thie Law & Order Franchise
What Meloni Did to People on Oz, was really hard believing that he was a Cop in the Beginning. He is a very good actor.

Yeah I've been kinda disappointed so far.

Hopefully it'll pickup.

Maybe if they team Goran w/ Logan it'll sprk it a bit.

Don't take that as a knock against eames because I dig her as well.

As far as the SVU cast I can't stand any of them w/ the exception of Capt Craggen.

I watch the shoe sometimes but I'm usually rooting for the bad guys because I loathe the detectives so much.

Just read an article that Chris Noth is leaving Criminal Intent, and Jeff Goldblum is replacing him.

I'm a little unhappy with this news. I like D'onofrio better than Noth in every instance, but I'm not a Jeff Goldblum fan. I did see a couple of eps of Raines, and thought he was good, but overall, I'm not a fan of his.
