Gross or not? I have this one guy in my office that does it all the time, makes me feel like I just walked into his personal bathroom at home. I keep expecting him to walk in there in his jammies with a towel over his shoulder.

I find it fucking gross. Be a gentleman and chew some gum or something.

Do you work at RGA?

No. But I have reason to believe that these animals are spread throughout the workforce grossing us all out in various companies and countries. I believe it is a a world wide dilemma.

It is very strange... Could be an underground cult thing. There's no way they all do it out of coincidence.

I for one leave my toothbrush at home.

I do it after lunch, but I find a bathroom where I can be alone in.

But you are still an animal, spitting in a public sink, getting fucking toothpaste all over the place.
damn man, leave it at home!

I'm a custodian. I clean those sinks!

I don't in general do it at work, but I do have a brush and toothpaste at my desk if I need it in an emergency.

i don't do it because it feels too weird to me, but you really should brush after every meal, so cut them some slack...they're in the right here. what i hate are the people who bring their food into work in tupperware, then clean those in the sinks leaving their disgusting food clogging up the drains. way, way worse.

Gum rhymes with Cum...so be careful. Thats all i'm saying.

People flossing in public is odd too.

This is a little nitpicky. It's not like the smell of toothpaste is disgusting.

I half expect this thread to end up right next to the "people who never brush their teeth are animals" thread.

And it goes without saying that this thread is useless without pictures.

It's hard for me to brush my teeth when the sounds and smells of someone taking a deuce nearby fill the room.

Proper dental care is a must. I fail to see how someone who brushes at work is gross as opposed to those who infrequently brush. Be thankful the guy is brushing versus the guy with dragon breath. Who would you rather deal with?

I think it is gross at well. It's a matter of making the public bathroom your personal space. SOmeone at my job really goes to town too, with brushing, then flossing, flinging floss and pieces of half eaten food all over the bathroom. Gross.

Nothing odd about proper care after you eat. I'd say you savages with shit stuck between your teeth, and ass breath are the gross ones!

I say gross.

1. You are doing something that should be done within your personal space in public.
2. You are brushing your teeth feet away from someone who is taking a shit.

Bunch of prima donnas!

You SHOULD brush after every meal. I try to at work. I may not get to it everyday, but when I do it doesn't bother me one bit. Why should it?

One more point if someone is fastidious enough to brush at work I would assume they are pretty neat about cleaning up after themselves. Its not like my teenagers bathrooms. Most who brush at work are going to not leave any evidence of the fact.
You complainers ought to take a cautionary tale from our man GVAC( please see earlier threads)

I have no problem with it. Then again, I'm old enough to have gone to college when they had communal bathrooms so you had to brush your teeth in the public bathroom.

Freitag

I'm of two minds of this.

- I hate public bathrooms

- I drink a lot of diet soda

Thus then, I like to keep my mouth clean.

Of course, as the OP mentioned, it's kind of socially awkward when you're brushing your teeth and someone walks in.

I think the best solution is a trial size bottle of listerine. Rinse, gargle, spit, rinse, leave.

The problem is the 100 other filthy bastards that use the bathroom who DON'T clean up after themselves. You want to put your toothbrush and floss on a scummy public bathroom countertop? The janitorial staff had to actually put a note in the bathroom telling seemingly adult people of the importance of cleaning up after themselves in the bathroom.

I'm all for teethbrushing but I'm not into communicable diseases. I keep toothpicks and a small mirror in my desk to tide me over until I get home.

I'm shocked that people are offended by this...I'm more grossed out by the fact that people are not brushing their teeth after meals. Think of the food particles stuck in your teeth, simmering at 98.6 degrees, as a steady stream of saliva and air alternately hydrate then dehydrate said particles over an 8, 9, or 10 hour period.

Brush and floss after EVERY meal....good...not brushing...DISGUSTING!

Oh come on.

You carry your toothpaste and toothbrush into the bathroom.

You squeeze the toothpaste onto the brush and then put the tube down. Your toothbrush never has to touch anything but your hand. And unless you're Howie Mandell, you don't have to worry about getting germs off a tube of toothpaste. Most desks at office places have more germs than the bathrooms.

Im glad that dental health is finally being talked about in public. For too long it was kept behind closed doors. In todays society a frank and honest discussion about tooth care is refreshing and educational. And frankly i applaud it

my simple solution is to take my teeth out and look at them, smell them to see If they need cleaning.breath mints solve the other issues..a quick diaper change and I'm good to go.

I work at home so I brush at work all the time. Before I also would brush at work; I was there 12 hours a day and ate two meals; if I didn't brush at work my teeth would have roted out. I have no problems with people brushing their teeth at work, it is certainly better than having to smell horrible breath for four hours.

Yeah it's socially awkward, mainly because the act of teeth brushing is loud and requires spitting. Doesn't bother me too much. Now bucknaked men brushing their teeth bothers me, there's a gym down the hall from our cube farm and some gentlemen take the liberty of treating our washroom as a changeroom. Naked hairy teethbrushing occurs too often in our goverment office. They save soo much time I guess.

I brush my teeth all the time. I've got a ziploc bag that I keep a toothbrush, toothpaste and floss picks in. I don't know how you animals don't brush your teeth after lunch.

I have a dentist appointment tomorrow afternoon, and I've actually been debating whether or not to bring my toothbrush and some toothpaste to work with me so I can brush before my appointment. The logical side of me tells me that it's unnecessary because I'm getting my teeth cleaned anyway, but the civilized side of me is telling me that showing up after lunch without brushing would be disgusting.

Would you go to an appointment for a colonoscopy and not wash your ass? Be a gentleman and brush those choppers!

Dentist's don't care about that, just make sure your underwear are clean.
