This has to be one of the best shows on TV.
the cast is great, the dialogue is great, and we have Munch.

I like it. It's the best Law & Order series now. The original used to be great, but has gone down hill.

Criminal Intent is ridiculous.

Criminal Intent is ridiculously good.

Fixed it.

Last night, I watched SVU for the first time this season. Bad episode, and I really don't like the new detective on the squad. Ice T is a better actor than he is.

CI is your favorite? that one is blah.
i wish L/O original would just make Imperioli (sp) a full time cast member. i always liked it when he was in episodes.

They had that Jury spinoff, which i was hoping would be good, but it ended up lasting a lunchtime.

Ice-T got his girl on SVU. She's great at acting like a gold digging blonde.

It used to be good, but it is now ungood. I mean, how many times can you hear about children being raped, child who is raped is a genius somehow, raper caught and says "Blah blah blah EVVERYONE IS DOING I AND WE CANNOT BE STOPPED!"

And SCENE.

Every episode mostly.

I just can't stand the "I am judge, jury, executioner, chef, lover, father, maid" aspect of every cop on every show.

The assistant DA is pretty hot too.

This is the only Law and Order or cop show really that I like. Christopher Meloni is a great actor.

The only thing that hurts me is continually seeing Ice T as a cop.

Since this is the appreciation thread for this show I'm not gonna bash it other than to say that of the 3 shows it is my least favorite by a wide margin.

Mariksa Haggirty is just a really bad actress and she doesn't make the character believable.

As somebody pointed out the plots are tired and have all been done already ( something that is now happening w/ the other 2 shows as well ).

I was watching a good rerun the other day that ended in what seemed to be a cliff hanger that was gonna be pcked up on the original Law & Order but they didn't show it if that was the case because they went to another unrelated episode of SVU.

It seemed to be based on the Kennedys and the Martha Moxley case.

The Captain is really the only 1 I like on there because he's an old school L&O guy.

On a side note I don't care for many of the CIs since they've moved to USA.

There's something about the production quality and acting that isn't the same as when it was on NBC.

I can't watch any of them any longer. There's just no rewatchability, so once i've seen an episode, there's no way I can watch it again because everything is so linear.

They should have Ovi as a hockey thug on trial for hitting a NY Ranger with a cheap shot and killing him.

Totally agree. All of the L&O shows are basically just modern versions of Dragnet: all business and nothing else.

I'll pretty much watch any original Law & Order repeats.

On Saturday and Sunday mornings they've been showing the ones with Briscoe & Curtis ( Benjamin Bratt and Jerry Orbach ) but I'm hoping they go back to the beginning and show all of the originals ( I think the very 1st were Chris Noth and George Dzunda ).

I wonder about something with this cast though.

The 2 main characters have been the same for the entire run of the show while the original Law & order has gone through several changes specifically with the detectives.

Now does that mean that the two from SVU know a good thing and don't want to leave it or are there just not many other opportunities for them ?

I saw an episode the other day with Anthony Anderson and he wasn't playing Detective Bernard.

I know they reuse a lot of actors but that's kinda wierd that they had him play a detective w/ 1 name in SVU and then a whole other guy in the regular L&O.

she's ok as an actor, but she had a pretty nice bod.. i remember an episode of her all hot and sweaty in the batting cages.

stephanie march, however, is much hotter.

JimBeam
01-08-2010, 01:13 PM
That's right.

She was one of the women that raped the guy and then in a later episode became the ADA.

Maybe I think it sticks out more because Anderson is more of a known actor than the people they usually retread.

They managed to bring back John Larroquette for a guest spot.

What do you mean brought him back ?

Did they kill him on a prior episode ?

Wasn't he involved in Boston Legal too ?

lleeder

I meant brought him back from not being around my tv screen.

JimBeam

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh

He played a serial killer on a recurring arch on Boston Legal for a while.

SVU also brough Luke Perry back for an episode.

I think it also brough Carol Burnett back.

L&O:CI brought " back " Liza Minelli for an episode.

yea I saw that Luke Perry one. Around the same time he was on Criminal Minds. There was a hot minute where Luke Perry was guest appearancing his ass off.

The Carol Burnett one also had Matthew Lillard in it.

I hadn't seen Luke Perry on a weekly show since they walled him up in Oz.

It's funny how in a maximum security prison they never realized he was missing after bed check.

Maybe he could've been saved if they had done their job.

Now where'd that General go ?

Is that the one where Johnny Sack was her latest husband who ended up falling out of the window?

Yeah, she's pretty nice. I think was on the episode of 30 Rock where Liz Lemon goes back for her 20th high school reunion. She played one of Liz's classmates who hated Lemon.

I didn't watch the whole episode but Johnny Sack was in it.

Looking very fat I might add.
