I had this stuff for dinner last night. It's a meat substitute made from a fungus. I ate it around 8 pm and by 10 pm I had my head in a toilet bowl, throwing up. I had heart palpitations, sweating, nausea and vomiting until 4 in the morning. I know it was this product because the last time I got violently ill was when I ate it! I didn't make the connection at the time because stomach flu was going around.
I found an article about 1000's of people having reactions to this stuff. Apparently there is a case pending in court for the makers of Quorn to put a warning label on their product.

Well Duh. I appreciate the fact that a person does not want to eat meat. That's fine. But if you hate meat, why look for a meat substitute? Especially one made from the scrapings of someones dirty bathtub. Are you in or out?
Maybe I am missing something. Even on my new diet, there is nothing finer than a couple of ounces of grilled skirt steak. Followed by the big salad and grilled eggplant and zucc's.

I ate this a few times. I think it was out in Europe before it made it stateside. Never had any problems with it though.
