I don't want to start a pity party or anything, but if you feel like sending some good vibes out tomorrow I'll gladly take 'em.

I'm heading back to the doctor because I'm apparently suffering some complications from my surgery three weeks ago. I've got some health problems that could be minor or major so the surgeon wants to give me a through examination. On top of that, my mom is going in for surgery tomorrow morning because they discovered cancer in her breast.

Believe it or not, this is only the tip of the iceberg as to what I'm going through right now. Don't worry about ol' uncle Gvac though; I'm a stubborn mother fucker and I just refuse to lay down without a fight.

And please, no pity posts!

Mom is home and recovering, and she looks like a million bucks. She's gotta go back to the hospital next week so they can see if they took out all of the cancerous cells, and then the doctors will determine how much radiation therapy she'll require.

As for my half of the story, my doctor told me he could start me on some medication, send me back to the hospital for more tests (including a stool sample...yuck!), or take a "wait and see" approach. I opted for the latter.

I'll let you all know if my aversion to hospitals and general distrust of doctors and insurance companies lands me back in the hospital. :help:

Unfortunately I got a call 10 minutes later telling me that my grandfather totalled his car & now he's in the hospital.
