Is this Pope John Paul II waving from beyond the grave? Vatican TV director says yes (http://www.dailymail.co.uk/pages/live/articles/news/worldnews.html?in_article_id=487764&in_page_id=1811)

This fiery figure is being hailed as Pope John Paul II making an appearance beyond the grave.

The image, said by believers to show the Holy Father with his right hand raised in blessing, was spotted during a ceremony in Poland to mark the second anniversary of his death.

Details appeared on the Vatican News Service, a TV station in Rome which specialises in religious news broadcasts.

The pictures were being broadcast continuously on Italian TV and also posted on religious websites, some of which crashed as thousands logged on to see for themselves the eerie figure formed by the flames

Well apparently the Vatican is floating the idea that the Pope has risen from hell. No good deed goes unpunished. The path to sainthood is hot it seems.

One time my mom mixed three of her metaphores that all ended in 'don't yell' to get us to shut up which were 'I don't care if there's a fire' 'I don't care if a bear has your head' and 'i don't care if the pope is here' resulting in 'I don't care if the pope's head is on fire, don't yell!'
I guess I shouldn't be yelling right now?

What better way to say hi from the heavens than to appear as a flaming demon?

Perfect Timing.

I'm over here in another thread (http://www.ronfez.net/forums/showthread.php?t=64047) defending my faith from an unwarranted attack, and this happens.

I hate the "leaders" of Christianity. Sometimes I think they're fed stupid juice in seminary school. The Bible is clear on this, Jesus said it Himself-"To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord"

Which means the "appearance" of the Pope in a fire is an optical illusion hyped up by a stupid person left in some position of authority. So now Christians look stupid again. Instead of facing science like a rational body of people, the Catholic Church is acting like scared cavemen watching a lightning bolt set a dried tree on fire. How classic is that? We complain about being stereotyped by the secular media in this country, then in the next sentence tell the media "We Saw The Pope In A Fire! Duuuaaarrrhhhuuuhhhh!"

And typical for me, when I want to have a serious conversation about spirituality, I have to take a few steps backward to explain this nonsense. But that is the story of my life, twice as much output for the same result as the next guy. (That's me whining, please have sympathy!)
