FROM EL JEFE AT HIDEOUTHERETICS.NET
http://hideoutheretics.net/viewtopic.php?t=3334
We're excited to announce that we'll be returning to terrestrial radio in an old comfortable spot: Saturday Nights on 106.7 WJFK in Washington, DC.

For now the show will air after Terps football, but when the season is over our regular slot will be 6p-9p.

We will also be returning to The Hideout, mainly for name recognition purposes. We're going to use a lot of what we've learned over the last year from NEXT!, New York, Atlanta and the NEXTcasts and apply it to The Hideout.

We're also stoked to be able to take phone calls and IMs again. The new AIM name is HideoutRadio.

In addition to the WJFK broadcast, we'll be recording a Post-Show Podcast, which will be completely uncensored and available via a different RSS feed. The purpose of The Hideout PSP is to cover any topics we could not do on terrestrial because of content, discuss "inside" topics and continue to cultivate our huge on-line audience. More on where you can get The Hideout PSP soon.

If you live in DC, begin to spread the word that The Hideout w/ El Jefe & J-Dubs is back on Saturday Nights!

Links, numbers and other important info to follow soon!

Thanks!

I think that a Mon-Fri show on WJFK would also be good. But 202 would be the best.

From what I've been hearing, Geronimo of the Don and Mike show is retiring in the spring, so that sets up the hideout to slide right into a Mon-Friday slot.

That is GREAT to hear!

I am also happy to hear that they are returning to "The Hideout" rather than "Next" - I never really liked that name and there were to many other things (tv, movie, etc.) that created a recognition conflict.

I may be greedy, but I hope they get a weekday slot in the near future.

Bronx Johhny I started a room on Paltalk a few months ago, and I wanted all to know I will be opening it again on Saturday so we can stream the return of the Hideout!!!
If your new to Paltalk it is free just go to www.paltalk.com and instal the software, then once on paltalk click the browse rooms tab, and type in the hideout, make sure to click the adult tab first then enter and you should be able to find it. Also if you still have a problem juat add my name (Lee-Mels) to your pal list IM me and I will invite you in.
Anyway hope to see you all there, see ya Saturday!!!

You can download the regular show and the psp from www.hideoutheretics.net.... which is their old fan forum.

I was looking for the PSP.

I'm guessing it's something with the IE cookies, virus protection or some such shite????

WJFK has put our past couple shows online for podcast! Please visit the website and download the shows (here is a direct link http://www.wjfk.com/pages/1175514.php) or just go to www.wjfk.com... It is important for us to show some real numbers on the web! Please spread the word and have as many people as possible downloading the show!

Thank you!

does wjfk take weeks to put up the podcasts for all their shows, or just the hideout. I work when the show is on, and I'd like to listen but the last podcast on the site is from the 10th.

With O&A being canned from WJFK, I imagine WJFK is going to go local for that mid day...Could this mean the Hideout being moved in some how to weeks either late nights or mid days?

mikeyboy
01-17-2008, 05:34 PM
Definitely a strong possibility.

From dcrtv.com (http://www.dcrtv.com)

Rumblings: Post-Geronimo JFK Line-Up - 1/17 - The scuttlebutt about what CBS man talker WJFK-FM might sound like in a post-Geronimo era: The Junkies could get moved from morning drive to afternoon drive. "It pays better and no 4 AM wake-up call," we're told by a Fairfax station source. Big O and Dukes from evenings to middays. The return of El Jefe and J-Dubs to evenings. And maybe a Mike O'Meara-hosted show for mornings? Or something "new"? Goodbye Opie and Anthony and Jim Rome? Stay tuned.....

For the sake of Jefe and Dubs, I really hope they get the night shift back on WJFK. Unfortunately, it won't really help me, though. I listen to my R&F recordings from 6-10 or so. I'd still miss the Hideout.

I don't think that the Hideout format would work in Mid-days, however I think Next would work well

Ditto I think Next would make sense in the midday slot. The hideout is a night show.
