Pros? Cons? Is this even legal?

Long story short: I'm checking out WWTDD.com and there is a thing on there about Britney Spears leaving a parenting counseling session and the paparazzi get a picture of her, and sticking out of her purse is a box of Provigil.

Provigil is a eugeroic drug generally prescribed to treat narcolepsy. Provigil is widely used off-label to suppress the need for sleep ... It is also used off-label in combating general fatigue related to lack of sleep ... Studies on Provigil indicate that it has an appetite reducing/weight loss effect … In experimental studies, the appetite reducing effect of Provigil appears to be similar to that of amphetamines, but, unlike amphetamines, the dose of Provigil that is effective at decreasing food intake does not significantly increase heart rate.

This seems like a drug that fits my hectic, sleep deprived, Boston Cream donut scarfing lifestyle perfectly. I like the fact that it reduces appetite without increasing your heart rate. Generally I'd never consider such a thing, but I looked it up and I can get 90 100mg pills for about $80.00.

Am I being crazy or should I strive to be just as cool as Britney?

Sounds like you're looking for cocaine.

I don't trust buying pills online, you're better off going to mexico and buying them from a "doctor"

Seriously though, it's a bad idea.

Two years ago there was a huge bust in Philadelphia.

A Temple graduate student was one of 20 people arrested last week for his role in an Internet pharmaceutical drug ring that allegedly had ties to over 100,000 clients in India and cities across the United States. (http://media.www.temple-news.com/media/storage/paper143/news/2005/04/26/News/Grad-Student.Arrested.In.Internet.Drug.Sting-938131.shtml)

Police have the names and credit card numbers of the more than 4,000 people in the Philadelphia area that used these services, though it is unclear if any charges will be pressed by local authorities.

You can do it, but it's risky.

I wouldn't risk it. The medicine could be made of ANYTHING plus you might be giving criminals your credit card info. It's crossed my mind a time or two but I'd never do it.

All right, I don't know what I was thinking. Thank you, to all my RonFez.net consiglieri. Whoever said this place jumped the shark is a filthy twat. If this run-down feeling, from lack of decent sleep, continues then I guess I'll see a doctor like some common pussy. As for the donut scarfing - I make no promises one way or another.

if you are taking prescription pills you probably should consult either a doc or at the very least a pharmacist. what if it turns out you are allergic to the pills? only a doc or pharmacist coulda told you that

I didn't buy meds on line but my son has a special pedi aero-chamber that he needs for his asthma meds. I needed an extra to keep @ his school and my insurance wouldn't cover a second one. CVS would have charged me $75. Online it was $35.
The company was Allegro medical in Tempe,AZ. Hope this helps.

I tried it once, they charge a non refundable $20 processing fee that is used to call your doctor and confirm you need the drug. If your doctor says no, or you don't give his correct number, you lose out on 20 bucks, and no pills. Wish I thought of giving my number and answering the phone as "Dr. Whoever" for the following week, but I don't know what kind of information the Dr. needs to give.
