We all know 'em. The ones that through no effort of their own, are living the good life by association. For example, Fred Norris, Howard Sterns buddy. Not funny, but a mainstay on the show. Stuttering John is another. Now he gets loads of bucks for saying "here's Jay". Nice work if you can get it.... Paris Hilton. How did she get so famous and rich?....who else is "successful and famous" through no effort of their own? What say you?

I can't say he is right now, but Fred used to be very funny as a writer on the show. I haven't heard Stern in years so I have no idea of what he's doing now.

Hey, you can't hate people who are in the right place at the right time. You really have no idea how hard some of these people work.

I mean Paris Hilton is a talentless hole, I'll give you that. But I have no idea what others like the examples you gave have done to get where they are.

I always found Fred funny, as he's made money because he helped Howard out when he was starting out. There is a loyality there that I respect greatly.

Stuttering John was in the right place at the right time, and he took a lot of abuse and had to get up at 4am for years.

Paris Hilton got rich because she was born rich! I don't hate her because she's rich, I hate her because she trying to be this entertaiment icon or something that is just embarrassing.

But to add to the topic, I'd hate the regular people who come into money and fuck up their lives. I hate them because I know I'd do better with the money.

I'm not hating, just exasperated when they get a forum. For example, granted Fred is good with the special effects, but he does this endless imitation of jimmy florentine that is just droning awful, and everybody laughs out of deference to him. The amount of effort that they put in is irrelevant. I'd much rather see a talented comic that is entertaining that deserves the spotlight through his talent and not connections, than a hardworking no talent that happens to be connected through friendship. Good to hear from you, Death! I had heard you were no longer posting. I've been offline myself.
