Yesterday I was in a Limo Procession for Wifey's Grandfather's Funeral. We must have been cut off atleast 10-15 times. What kind of self important douche would blatently cut off the limo next to a Hearst, just to get somewhere quicker.

People seem to be the most selfish and aggressive when driving a car. Even though I'm a fast paced person who is always in a rush, i would never think of cutting off a Funeral Procession.

Was Manners or Self Importance the Reason why people do such selfish and barbaric things on the Road

That's terrible. I've never experienced that but I would like to think a cop would pull them over and ticket them. You don't cut off a funeral procession. You in a hurry? Late for an important date? That's your fault, and guess what? It could be worse. You could be in mourning. Or dead.

I've had that happen to me too. Also, people flipping me the bird when I went through red lights as part of the procession. They could see it was a funeral but they felt they shouldn't have to wait.

Speaking of manners, this happens to me almost everyday at the top of my block: I'm waiting at a red light, as is the car coming in the other direction. When the light changes, I'm going straight and the other guy is turning left. I've got the right of way, right? Nope. Nine times out of ten the driver across from me jumps on the gas the second the light changes and tries to make the left in front of me. It's gotten to the point where I gun it also and it's a game of chicken to the intersection. I'll usually do this while driving my wife's car because I don't give a shit about it. And hey, if they ever do hit me then I've got a nice lawsuit and settlement coming to me.

Two people did the same thing at my boyfriend's grandmother's funeral.

I was always told, no matter where on the road you're never to interrupt one. We were going through an intersection and two cars just cut right into the middle of the procession and drove IN IT until they reached the next light. My boyfriend, his brother and myself were just like what fucking pieces of shit who would ever do that?

That is a level of disrespect that i can't even wrap my mind around.

My condolences buddy.

That's messed up, I've had that happen to me as well. Where do people get the balls? I've learned to just let it go because it just isn't worth getting all worked up over.

I used to flip at assholes on the road to the point where it was ridiculous (Hippo, you know how 'typical' Staten Island drivers are). I used snap, try to catch up to the car, spit at the the driver side window, or cut in front of them and put my car in park at a green light. Pretty much anything to piss them off as much as I was..

Now I just learned to let it go.. But at a funeral procession, that's a different story..

I'm not sure if it's manners when people cut through processions...

It might be a lack of knowledge, they might not have been told of that 'courtesy' as they were growing up.

I never found out of this little good will manouvre until I was 20.
