Give ESD his own show..

Since so many people feel that ESD is Great.. Why not give him his own show! I was thinking Saturdays..maybe in the afternoon! Let us all see what Dave can do without the help of Ron....:clap:

Here it is in a nutshell. This guy is fixated on Dave. All of his posts except this one have been very direct Dave hate posts and threads. This one is a little less direct. It's his way of saying "I hate Dave, but if you guys like him so much why don't you lobby for his own show so you can see how much he sucks on his own." I honestly don't think I'm reading too much into this thread. It's an indirect way for him to hate on Dave without being added to the downhill rolling snowball that is the mega Dave hate thread.

It also occurred to me that, on some level, it's an adaptation of the school yard taunt "If you think X is so great, why don't you marry it." Which is kinda genius. Any time you can drag the high school level drama of a message board down to grade school level, that's pretty awe inspiring.

As to that minimum posts for starting a thread issue -- there is one. Once you register, you have to post 10 times or be registered for 30 days before you can start a thread. This guy has been registered for longer than 30 days, so he is able to start threads. Or at least he was able. I just did a little experiment and reverted this guy back to being a new user, so he can't start new threads. I'm not even sure I did it right. The new user status will probably erase itself once after 30 days or if he posts 10 more times anyway. Is it unnecessary? Probably, but we probably don't need many more Dave threads (unless they relate to developments on the show and are different from ground we've covered many times already), and this guy has yet to show that he isn't completely fixated on Dave, so no new threads by him unless he shows that he can discuss something that isn't Dave related. It is the Ron & Fez Show after all.

Not to upset the star chamber of this forum, but for me a lot of ambivelance with esd. Having said that, it could work and actually be hilarious if given the right supporting cast and production. He's a smart, clever guy that has an edge. A very refreshing, energetic wild side, but he would need a lot of direction. His strongest suit is riffing on RB, which is relatively easy when you have a RB throwing up fat pitches right down the middle. Still, ESD could carry a show on his own. Maybe a radio jerry springer type of format with off the wall guests that esd could mock, berate, challenge, and goof with. Close your eyes and let this image sink in, future radio gold: "The ESD and Elfish Comedy Calvalcade", co starring "sheepy" on third mike. would sincerely love to hear a test show of this.

To take this thread a different way and actually talk seriously about Dave having his own show, I'd listen.

Patrice, Bill Burr, Than and Sam, Bronx Johnny, all these guys get timeslots, why not Dave?

That is, if he's even interested in trying it. He may not have been given a slot yet because he didn't ask and isn't interested in it. Maybe he's fulfilled enough with all the work and air time he gets on Ron and Fez. Maybe the show keeps him busy enough. Not a clue but if he decided to try a show I'd check it out.

I think you got it right. A great team, all 3 of them actually. I guess of ESD is the pitcher, and MR B is the hitter, then FW is the catcher.
