He obviously dropped his cell phone and is picking it up. He wanted to call his 'ol buddy Yeti.

in this great technological age we live in there's no way bigfoots and yeti's and chupacabras could go unnoticed very long

theres not much open forests left, and just by chance we'd stroll across a few dead ones by now

Agreed.

Thousands of years ago, there may have been some kind of ape species that lived in the Americas that was the basis of the indian peoples myths and stories of "ape men" or large humanoids that they encountered. But if any such creature existed, it is long gone by now. There are a few desolate places left on Earth that could hold such creatures. Even the Amazon has pretty much been all explored.

The one place that there is a possibility is Southeast Asia, in places like Malaysia and Papua New Guinea where recent explorations have turned up hundreds of new species, although nothing as noteworthy as a new hominid species. But even in Africa there is yet to be a new species of Ape (called a killer Ape) photographed, even though some scientists have tracked it.

I only feel it is a possibility because there was a legend among the locals of the Indonesian Islands about a forest people, who would live in caves and steal food at night. The legend had been around as long as anyone can remember, probably stretching back hundreds of generations. And now we know that there was indeed a species of humanoid that did indeed live in those caves, which were probably witnessed by the inhabitants' ancestors.

There are quite a bit of mongos in our country who illegally own animals, i.e. tiger and chimps. I bet one of these idiots had a chimp and the thing went off and shredded some toddler, so they let the chimp go. I vote chimp.
