So... It's election day. Who's going to (or already did) vote, today?

I've always voted as my parents seem to make a big deal of it, so I tend to vote just to keep them happy. In fact, in the past if everyones schedule allowed we'd go and vote as a family and then hit the diner afterwards.. I know corny.

Done!
It is really getting hard to vote for local and county officials anymore.
Corruption and incompetence rule.
I also voted NO on question 4. Changeing the language on voting restrictions. It was something about removing the words "idiots and stooges". Fuck that. I like it.

I'm going after work. I'm voting out the bastards who instituted this stupid "bad driver" penalty (http://www.wdbj7.com/Global/story.asp?S=6707342).

Not to be cliched but everyone who can should vote. I've lived in places where they have no vote so it makes me appreciate the opportunity even more.

AJ is right. Get oot there and vote. If you don't, you have absolutly no right to piss and moan when your town goes to shit.

Oh, I found a link (http://thebehavioranalyst.wordpress.com/2007/10/22/vote-yes-on-public-question-4-in-new-jersey-on-nov-6-2007/)to the politically correct and revisionist question on the NJ ballot.

I wish I lived in Hudson County. I would vote no 5 or 6 times.

I was disappointed. Almost all of the offices had only one person running. the only real race was for State Senate. Oh, well. I did my part.

i was going to, but then spoon told me about this stupid shit where in exchange for a couple hundred back in property tax at most, NJ would raise state tax to 8%. Which would cost way more, so i went late just to vote no to that

I'll just move to a less shitty town, later down the line.

I am a crazy libertarian who hates the state of my current government and yet I had no clue that there was elections today. So I suck I guess. But then again I wouldn't have been informed enough about whatever this election was to make an informed decision.

Voted.
Republican.
Except for city council, I went with a Democrat-Jimmie Martinez (Northfield, NJ)
And "no" on every ballot question in NJ.

I would have, but I very recently changed parties officially so I couldn't vote this time around.

PapaBear

Why is that? Do they make you wait a while?

They told me that I changed parties too close to the election, I would have to wait for the next one to be able to vote.

They are ALL important. Believe me. Some day you will understand.

That's bullshit. It's a general election, not a primary election voting for candidates for a certain party. Whoever told you you couldn't vote this time around was a dummy for telling you that.

i voted. the only important seat open was suffolk county supervisor. I like Steve Levy but didn't vote form him. even though he's done a fine job with the county i voted for the libertarian candidate. Why? because Levy was running on both the Republican and Democratic tickets and she was the only other candidate. Levy was a sure win and basicly i didn want this chick to feel bad about no one voting for her.
