That completely ruined your day?

I woke up this morning from a very nice dream involving two people I knew years ago. It seems in my dream that I met an old female friend at another's wedding. Outside of dreamland and back in real life, I dated the one getting married, while the other one I met at the wrong time in life and had to let pass by, although we did remain good friends for a little while. I haven't spoken to either one of them in over ten years. Meanwhile, back in the dream all was well, we were all civil and happy to see each other, and I woke up with a smile on my face.

But now, as the day progresses and I remember the euphoria in which I awoke, I am plagued with thoughts of what could have been. Now I'm all homesick and pessimistic and wondering how my life could have been different if I had just said or done one thing differently all those years ago, whatever it may have been. I'm not pining for either of these two girls at all. I hope they are happy in their own lives but I want nothing to do with either of them. I'm completely happy in my own life now, with a beautiful loving wife and a baby due in a few months. For some reason though, I can't stop thinking about the images in my dream, and how happy I was to see them.......

Damn dreams. I never remember them, and the one I do remember sends me into a downward spiral.....

Not that runined my entire day but I've had one that's made me wake up PISSED sveral times. I quit smoking six years ago but for some reason I still dream about it and they're very real dreams. They'll take place at a favorite bar and I'm there with smoking friends and in the dream I'll think to my self that after six years surely one smoke wouldn't hurt so I have one. I wake up so fuckin mad at myself I can't stand it only to realize soon after that i didn;t even go out the night before. Weird.

I think everyone has dreams like that, some chick you dated in high school pops up out of nowhere. Or some chick you never got to bang pops up. I'll have dreams where I'm dating a girl I haven't talked to or thought about in years. The dream feels like the present but is filled with things from the past, like the feeling I had while dating that chick. Those suck, especailly if it was a hard breakup. Just try to forget about them, that's what I try to do. I know its harder then it seems haha.

I recently went two nights having depressing dreams about my ex. Basically, I'd be in some location talking to her and she'd be ripping me to shreds verbally. Not yelling, but gloating about all the shit shes done with her new guy. I woke up and it stuck with me for a day or two.

Most of my dreams tend to be pointless or depressing.

Several people have had dreams that I've died. The best is getting a call at 3 in the morning hearing someone asking if your ok.

Something similar happened to me with an ex-girlfriend of mine...she didn't punch me but she also didn't talk to me for a week because I messed around with some girl in her dream

I have had dreams about my ex-wife where we are still together, still in love, and very happy. However, when I wake up I am pissed for totally different reasons than you luvafroshows - I don't long for her or "the road not travelled"; I am pissed that I dreamed something nice about her.

She screwed me over BADLY and doesn't deserve my time - even in dreams.

the other night i dreamed ESD and I were both freshmen playing for UCLA's varsity,the thing is we both mostly stood around watching Kevin Love score baskets on great assists we both fed him(no homo) it was cool to feel 21 again,trouble is I woke-up almost 50...again.:sad:

Have had about 2 or 3 dreams about my boyfriend leaving me or wanting a polygamist relationship.

Had two dreams that involved his stalker ex,one was last night and i woke up really pissed off.
