Headaches: What The F?

Can anyone explain headaches? Why they happen, how they happen and what the different position of headaches mean. Because recently I've gotten a new form of headache that are concentrated in two parallel to the tops of my ears at the back of my head. It doesn't spread, it just stays in that position.

The only time I ever get headaches is when I'm dehydrated or eat a ton of sodium. If I feel one coming on, I go straight for the bananas, orange juice, and water. I also keep my sodium intake level pretty low. I know migraines are "special", but as far as everyday headaches go, I've always believed they're completely preventable. At least for me.

I know sometimes they can be caused by the swelling of the blood vessels in your brain, which is why caffeine gets rid of a lot of head aches. I also know that your brain tissue itself doesn't have any pain receptors, so any pain you feel up there is coming from something else.

It was mentioned last week on the show. It does work for me. Use your thumb and pointer finger and massage the area of the opposite side and massage that area.
