WTF with replay

Hello,
Did anyone else notice that the very begining of the O&A replay was cut off. They started the replay after the first break. So I guess a little fight between opie and anthony. I guess the whole dumping the FBA reference was the cause. Anyone know what the beef is with O&A and FBA? I also noticed that Dugout doug does not call the show anymore.

It probably has more to do with the general f-ed up state of the XM master computer today rather than cutting out content. O&A couldn't even do their XM show because the computer was screwed up, then the 'best of' they were supposed to play cut out after the first bit and yesterday's show started playing.

Since the end of R&F was prematurely cut-off, I'm betting the computer problems resurfaced. I wouldn't read too much into it.

Maybe...but I think it sort of reminds me of the Opie/Jimmy fight. I listen to the show live. I heard this morning and I could sort of tell that Opie was sort of pissed about the dump by Anthony. It is a stupid thing, but I was just curious.

Anthony dumped it because he doesn't want to promote FBA at all. It was just a caller calling up and, after asking first, plugging someone who does daily show rundowns on FBA. Then Anthony dumped it and it got pretty awkward for a bit.

I think Matty brought it up, but no one has ever actually seen proof. I think Ant just likes Wackbag because its a pretty positive board, as there's a lot of editing and "censoring" (for lack of a better word). Most of the members there are real uber fans. But he and Opie even started getting pissed at Wackbag because there were a lot of "non-show" threads and that there were negative posts. Hence them backing xmradiogold.com so much now. I guess anything even close to being considered negative about the show will be erased from there.

I have to say, that really was awkward, but oddly enjoyable. For me Opie gains major credibility points for his reaction.

You know I will forever be grateful to O&A for many hours of entertainment and most importantly for helping introduce me to Ron and Fez in the WNEW days and then getting me to subscribe to XM to fall in love with Ron and Fez all over again. And I am by no means a hater, I still listen when given the opportunity, but something has seriously changed about the show.

The stance they, and particularly Anthony, have taken with the likes of Dugout Doug is really disturbing. Could it be they are taking themselves too seriously? Is it the pressures of present day FM constraints? Are they overextended with the time needed for two shows? Or perhaps my tastes have just been altered by listening to so much Ron and Fez. Regardless I will continue my occasional listening, hold out hope that the old magic will return and they will avoid self-imposed censorship. In the meantime, thank god for R & F.

first of all that audio was about 2 and a half minutes too long. after the 2 minute portion all talk of the dump was finished. secondly, its hardly a big deal. op asked what the big deal was, ant explained himself and then they moved on. im not even sure why this is worth discussing.

that sucks, I drafted Ant in the first round and was thinking about using a keeper slot on him. Now I might try and package him and Patrice in a deal for Opie. thankfully i have Norton as a sleeper.

I just listened to the audio, which amounted to a 30 second discussion. Doesn't seem like that big of a deal. I don't see how dumping out of a plug for a website Ant said they don't support is equivalent to censorship. I've always been of the opinion censorship is about opinon, and the right to have one about anything, not about name-calling or being offensive.

Dougout Doug played this audio in the Ron and Fez Paltalk room after the show yesterday. Anthony logged into the room. Anthony and Doug had it out while everyone listened. Anthony said he dumped out of it because they agreed not to plug negative sites. Everyone in the room from FBA said 90% of the threads there are positive. I'm not that big of a fan of FBA, but they allow any post at all.

Unless its against ESD in the Ron & Fez forum. Then the ESD Rules apply and he or Casey can ban whoever they want.

I figured their was a fall out between the 2, I mean Anthony and Doug. I just think especially on these boards you should have the freedom to post negative and positive feedback. That is part of life. I would hate a board that just has love for the show or never says.."That sucked or I don't like that bit".

Yes when a board has nothing but negative posts I guess you would not want to promote them or bother with them. Then just don't. I think Anthony should of bashed FBA instead of a dump...that is sort of a HOO HOO thing.

Again if you don't like a board then just don't bother with it. I feel the boards are more for the fans, not the air talent.
