It's out of control (http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2007/11/17/health/main3517722.shtml)

Two months into the school year, school officials realized that more than 2,000 students in the county still didn't have the vaccinations they were supposed to have before attending class.

So Circuit Court Judge C. Philip Nichols ordered parents in a letter to appear at the courthouse Saturday and either get their children vaccinated on the spot or risk up to 10 days in jail. They could also provide proof of vaccination or an explanation why their kids didn't have them.

Sadly this is what it takes to get a lot of parents to pay any attention to what the needs of their kids are. Obviously this is overkill, but it gets the point across to these dolts.

I understand the Hep vaccination, but why a chickenpox vaccination????

We are over vaccinating the population...

Oh, please raise taxes so these poor children can get the health care they're entitled to! I want to help!

True. In seventh grade I had been sent home for the day when my diphtheria vaccination had lapsed, even though I had an appointment with the doctor the same evening. My dad was pissed that they had sent me home but he made sure my vaccinations were up to date.

A lot of parents could care less if their kids went to school.

We'll never be truly safe until there's a cooties vaccine.

No one's raising my taxes for anything. I don't care if some 8 year withers away and dies because she can't get insulin, I want an HDTV dammit!
