On Saturday night, we saw what looked like a contrail in the sky. We first noticed it in the western sky, being lit up by the moon. It was really wide for a contrail, as though a jet had flown really close to the ground, but we didn't hear a jet. It also didn't fade at one end like contrails do as they begin to decay; it was a uniform thickness and density. It ran from what appeared to be exactly north/south, all the way to either horizon. It was moving east very rapidly; we watched it move across half the sky in about 30 minutes. I guess it was about 9:00 PM P.S.T. There were no clouds or "regular" contrails in the sky.
Anyone see this or have any ideas what it was?

A contrail could last a sustained amount of time in high humidity or very cold weather. Or it could be the government spraying mind control chemicals. Have you felt more obedient lately?

Mike the Teacher was on a little while ago, and didn't answer. I think you're screwed.
Oh, and "Call George Noory" is a crappy name for a band. Or, is it?

George Noory only believes in "chemtrails", plus he has that fraudulent cunt of a chainsmoking psychic on his show regularly. The oddest thing about this one was its size, and the fact that it was consistent from one horizon to the other. When you see a regular contrail, one end is faded as that is the older end which has had more time to dissipate. And I've never seen one moving across the sky that rapidly without disintegrating.

Are you sure it wasn't Friday night? Walking home I noticed an contrail against the bright moon and it was moving fast across the sky as well, but I figured due to the high winds. It was very cold and windy last weekend so it could be exactly what Peeps said. Well, not exactly.

Im 80% sure it was Saturday. There were no winds at all (at ground level at least). I'm in California.

or it could have been a test flight of the new JUCAV or some other unmanned vehicle that they are working on out at Edwards/Palmdale/China Lake

Seriously, I don't think it was a contrail, but rather some sort of weather phenomenon. It just didn't behave like a contrail.
