Or that the rest of the nations wants to make sure that New Jerseyans go back to where they came from.

Yeah airlines are retarded. Just get the round trip ticket and don't come back.

if i was a person in another state, i too would do what i can to keep myself (jersean) home.
i would set up a minute men border all up and down the delaware and along the
ny thruway to keep jerseans where we belong: rotting in our filth strucken polluted air state.

A year and a half ago, MsTub got us round trip tickets to The Bahamas for $21 each.

One-way fares have always been traditionally more expensive than round-trip fares.
I like reading the Flyer Talk forums. The most hysterical thing are the people who take "mileage runs". They spend a weekend flying all over the US just to generated frequent flyer miles at cheap rates.
My parents did one of these; they flew down to Tampa, had dinner, then flew home.

That's also called "getting yourself on a watch list", isn't it?

Only if you check in then don't get on the plane, I'm sure people miss flights all the time.

ofcourse people miss flights
the number of flights missed due to cruises being held up is substantial
also to be safe, one call to the airline, stating you got a better deal on round trip instead of one way and you wont be attending will do the trick
The airline is happy, because they can let a standby on the plane and make double
