Windows XP Pro HELP!

I got Windows XP Professional last week and everything was running fine, then today I went to Windows update and updated a few things. After I restarted my PC I noticed my scroll on my mouse didn't work anymore so I installed the floppy disc that came with it.

Now I can't use my mouse or keyboard on Windows XP and have to use Windows ME (ME is on C Drive, XP on D Drive).

Can ANYONE help me on what I can do to use XP normal again!!!

WWWFAllon - Does the XP OS have a restore feature, as is found on Win ME? If you restore to an earlier time your registry will be restored to that earlier date. Any program you installed will be uninstalled.

Reinstall XP (it won't harm anything), then instead of using the floppy that came with it, go to the website and download the latest (read XP) drivers

I re-installed with the disc. I couldn't use my mouse or keyboard so that's the only way I could do it.
