Ron Bennington Look-Alike

Come one, come all, and see the guy who looks disturbingly similar to Ron Bennington. He is on public display Monday thru Friday, in front of the flower shop on 40th, between 5th & 6th (across the street from Bryant Park), all hours of the day. See for yourself if you don't believe me.

On my way to work, I walk to 5th Ave. down 40th street, and there's a guy who owns what I think is a flower shop. And he stands out there, wearing a scarf and smoking a cigarette, all day long. And he looks like a short Ron Bennington. I see the guy almost every day, and the resemblance is striking. Go check it out if you're in the neighborhood.

I only wish the guy smoked cigars.

Ive seen plenty of people do that to the real Mr B, with no problem.
So why cant some nobody have his pic taken...no need to ask if he's out in public.

Keep in mind, many RF.netters arent exactly in the neighborhood.

Okay, so I finally got a chance to check this guy out. I drive down 40th street, and I really didnt expect to see him on a Sunday; but there he was. As soon as I saw him I started laughing. Definitely from across the street, he has a Ronnie vibe. I'll say good call Dr Z!

His name is Erdal (er-dawl) and he's actually a very sweet man. He's from Turkey and says he came here to follow the woman he loved, and ended up loving NYC so he stayed. He makes jewelry by hand and sells it at the store he's always at, which is owned by his best friend, also from Turkey. I asked him if anyone had come by to take his picture lately, and he said no. I explained to him that he looks like someone famous, but he had never heard of Ron and Fez. He wanted to know if the man he looked like was good with the ladies; I of course said all the ladies love Ron Bennington. He was flattered that people would think he resembled such a man. We exchanged a few pleasantries, and he even gave me a small gift, which I thought was incredible... that a stranger comes up and asks to take your picture, and not only do you allow that, but give him a gift as well! He's a gentleman, and very approachable.

p.s. if youre shopping for gifts for the lady in your life this holiday season, his jewelry is quite nice, altho i didnt ask about prices. Most he makes on site, but some are imported from Turkey. Stop by, and help out a friend of the show who has never heard of it.
