Here's the situation, you are forced to take a life either your pet that you love dearly or a bum/homeless person. What do you do?
Also, there are no repercussions for your actions. So, if you kill the stinky guy that is don on his/her luck, you wouldnt go to jail, it is just on your conscience for taking a human life over an animals.

Well, what happens if you keep bums as pets?
You put me in an untenable position, Mr. Hypothetical Question Maker.

Didn't Mike the teacher ask this recently. Not even worth asking. I'd kill a bum just for the sport of it.

I don't think the guy with the rifle is Ice T, unless he's really changed a lot.

i actually think there are few people out there that would kill their pet...not the same situation but i was watching this movie "captivity" this weekend and there's a scene where the girl has 30 seconds to kill her pet if she didnt then she would die...my girl actaully said she would let herself die before shooting our dog and was dead serious...he is a cute little fucker though

Anyone see that documentary "Reversal of Fortune?" They give a selected bum $100,000 to see if he'd turn his life around...he didn't. I'd kill that guy.

I tried that. She pissed in it the first day and then the next day she pissed on the washing machine.
I took her to the vet and they said physically, she's fine.
Little fucker's pissing me off though.

If I had a choice between saving a pet owner from drowning or a pair of socks I'd choose the socks. I'm not risking my life for someone who doesn't care about mine.

you're a bum?
Does that matter? How much does someone need to earn annually before you value them higher than a pet?

I stopped thinking most pet owners weren't at least mildly delusional a long time ago.
My brother has a had a dog for about 5 months now. She's a great dog, tons of fun, really sweet...but we're driving home from Thanksgiving, have to stop short because of a dude running a red light, and he tells me that if we were in an accident, he's not sure who he would check on first, me or the dog, and that I shouldn't "take it personal."

Actually, the economic analysis is a little more complicated than that. I think you can do a back of the envelope check using this simple equation
Human = annual earnings stream X expected working life/likelihood that they'll shit on the floor + (scrap value of salable organs)
Pet = frisbee catching acumen X ability to help you pick up chicks/likelihood that they'll shit on the floor
ANIMALS ARE NOT PEOPLE.
So they have that going for them.

Yes, I know, ha-ha, so that makes them more "valuable"...BLECH.
This thread isn't nearly as nuts as the one where people were syaing they'd save their pet from drowning instead of a drowning stranger, but it's up there.
