The Colorado Cafe is in Watchung, which isn't on any train lines.

People who live in Manhattan, and who likely don't own cars, may want to carpool with people who do have cars and will be going their way.

People out on Long Island will likely have the longest schlep, so carpooling will allow them all to stay longer and drink some adult-type beverages if they so choose.

Oh, and MapQuest directions from Long Island to/from Central and North-Central NJ stink; hook up with a budday who knows the area for a reality-check. Who knows? It might even save you a little time! (Personally, I'm thinking that either the Bayonne or Goethals bridges would make the most sense for Long Islanders. The Bayonne Bridge will get you out onto Rte. 78 West almost immediately; I'm not sure what'd be best if you take the Goethals because I would take it to the Tpke & get off @ x. 13A then 1/9 North, past EWR Airport, then 22 West. . . but that's kind of a roundabout way to go.)

There's an NJ Transit bus stop a little over a mile away, right on Route 22; a one-way bus ticket is $7.25 and the bus out of Port Authority leaves at 6:30pm to get you to the stop at around 7:30pm.

It looks walk-able according to the MapQuest directions from the Colorado Cafe website, but remember that it gets dark early, so unless you're suicidal, don't plan on walking.
Hook up with a budday to pick you up from the stop.

Ok I checked with saferidesunlimited.org and the rates are as follows for Northern NJ (Im in Fairfield) 4 people its $25-$30 per person round trip, 10 people its $20 round trip ect. and this includes admission to the Colorado Cafe as well.
Im willing to go in on this so if anyone wants to go in with me let me know. There is a minimum of 4 people and so far I only have 2. Anyone else who wants to ride in style and safely let me know.
