Everyone here knows how much that I hate being on the air. I am going to call the show on Tuesday to talk about a subject that is close to my heart. My best friend in the whole world, who happens to live in Wales, is under attack and it is BULLSHIT! He has been a youth service worker for several years, he has always made these after school special type films and he is being falsely accused of bullshit. He talked to a 15 year old girl in private about her uncles raping her and now he is in trouble because her family, THE ABUSERS, said that because he talked to her in private was "grooming her" This guy is NOT a perv. He could have fucked me on several occasions and was a perfect gentleman. The UK has weird laws, but this is total and complete BULLSHIT!! If you care anything about me or my opinion, please support me in this!
That sounds like a fun topic for the show.

I don't ask this question in any judgmental way at all, but just wondering how this could possibly be considered in the legal system. How old is your male friend and did he spend one-on-one time with her talking about this or was it just phone calls? Again, don’t read into my question too much – just considering possible defense positions

Sorry Doogie, the story isn't big enough to make the internets. Here is the basic story:
My friend worked at a youth service agency in Wales where they taught teens to act, direct, edit, film, etc.
They deal with abused and underpriviledged children a lot. He had at least 5 cases in which he reported abuse and nothing ever came of it. He talked to this girl in private so that he could get more information before filing the report. Her grandmother, and guardian, found out that she was talking with him and filed charges so that her sons would not be accused of sexual abuse. The girl herself is not claiming that anything happened. Just the mere fact that he talked to the girl in private with nobody else around is enough to get him on these charges. The UK government sucks. They are trying to get him to plead guilty and serve 2 years. FUCK THAT! I was a social worker for a number of years, this guy is not a perv.
He could keep his cool and realize that he did nothing wrong if how he presented the incident is true to what you wrote.
He can still talk to a lawyer and document what happened possibly to the authorities. Present the charges as a smoke screen for the wrongs the uncle did. He can fight back.

The legal systems suck ass wherever you go these days. I've had my house broke into twice in two years, the first time we caught the jabronis in the house! The second time we know is our neighbor, found his tracks from my backdoor to his (not in funny way) and nobody has ever been charged or booked. How's that for Justice? It is time the Good take this planet over and stop being afraid of the rules now made to protect the guilty. :furious:

anyone who teaches anything in the dramatic arts is gay

Good call today M-S ; Good luck to your friend - but i couldn't help wonder why someone in that job doesn't follow protocols that are acknowledged to avoid these messes (-even if they are red tape in the short-term)
BTW - one of many great lines today;
esd = "Wales is just a poor man's Scotland."
Ron = "Scotland is a poor man's Scotland."
Also liked;
esd = "...and we watch the SuperBowl when we're told to watch it"
Fez = "...but that's the only time it's on "
ESD is clearly enjoying hearing himself babble, but he has also been doing a great job of making the point of setting up alot of opp's lines for the Buddays - even when imo he knows that he is rambling and/or taking unpopular pov's.

No one could control themselves after that. It was seriously one of the dumbest things to come out of ESD's mouth.
