Almost every night Olbermann mentions his arch rival Bill O Reilly. I am not the biggest O Reilly supporter but he does have a better show. Keith Has the same 6 people on all the time who yes him to death and never has anyone on with opposing views. Here are the numbers and Bill O continues to clobbers Keith O

They're both asses, but O'Reilly is bigger by astronomical proportions.
The best thing is not to watch either.

I think both are total douches. O"Reilly seems like the biggest asshole on tv but at least he gets big ratings.
Politically I lean more towards Olbermann but something about him bothers me/ creeps me out.

Olbermann threw Imus under the bus
Damn, now I might have to like him.
Nah, I'm just kidding. Nobody gives a shit about this or his show. But that won't stop certain people from using him as an example of "liberal pundits having the same power as those on the Right."

Oh Mojo, he's just one of many. It says so on the tag inside my tin foil hat.

O'Reilly is a boor, I suspect even his mother would agree with that. But Olbermann is acting like a guy who got turned down for a date to the prom. It's creepy.

I think this is more out of Olberman's hands then you think. I believe this is a corporate decision on MSNBC's part to go after Fox to boost ratings and Keith's worst person in the world segment was a good segway to do so. After a few weeks of Keith's continual attention to O'Reilly, I noticed Dan Abrams jumping in a few times, and then Joe Scarborough as well, at least on his evening show (I haven't seen too much of his AM program, "Morning Joe")
It actually backfired for me. Instead of getting me hooked in, I just quit watching it altogether. Keith is a liberal, and I lately have been wanting to hear both sides of the argument of any particular issue. On XM if ESD is lousing up the show, then I goto the O'Reilly show, and also listen to Ed Schultz on Air America.
Lately, I haven't listened to either show or either network. They both seem to be in a ratings war and CNN is picking up new watchers like myself who are tired of the bickering.
Although CNN doesn't seem to be much better. Not in a bickering "we hate Fox/MSNBC" kind of way, it just seems to not give enough information before the talking heads come on and shout at each other.

That's why I think he is partly being chided into this spat with O'Reilly because of the producers. Before he zeroed in on O'Reilly, he had a fun lighthearted show that poked fun at the news stories of the day. When he got serious about something, he had a guest on to clarify the story, ask him/her some questions, and then give his opinion on it.
But then he either went nuts, or just did one too many Stuart Smalley jokes("I'm smart enough, I'm good enough, and gosh darn it, people like me!"), because he started taking himself way, way too seriously. Case in point:

The whole "have you no decency sir?" line is a rip off of then Special Counsel for the Army Joseph N. Welch to Senator McCarthy during the communist hearing of the 1950s. Olbermann is just an unoriginal hack.
O'Reilly is a conservative, but I just get sooo tired of his explanation that he is a "traditionalist" rather then a conservative. He is against raising taxes and is hawkish on military issues. He wants Democrats on his show to give answers while letting Republicans give playbook answers and then say "well form your own opinion"
I'm a conservative. I'm not afraid to say it. But I don't like shouting at people who I disagree with. I did that for a while, and it just gave me a headache, and a lot less freindships.
I used to get information from both shows, but this dumb fighting between them is pointless. It's like a Radio War between the O and A and the R and F shows, but instead of being a fun bit, it just makes both of them look stupid and robs the viewer of decent information.
I think they're way more similar than they want to believe.
On a show related note, both of them take any opportunity they can get to bash O & A, both of them feign outrage when white people say anything that's not overtly positive about anyone who's not white. Both of them suck my balls.

That whole thing was awkward and melodramatic, but why are you presenting it like you "busted" him on using someone else's line? He clearly did it because people would recognize it.
I used to get information from both shows
Impossible.

I didn't post it as "busting" him. I was pointing out what you picked up on your own watching it, he is a melodramatic hack. Couldn't have said it better myself.
And the whole, "Good night, and good luck" thing he started doing to close his show with after the George Clooney movie about Edward R Murrow came out. Ugh.
And his way of starting the show with "it's the 2,112 day since the President announced mission accomplished" is a rip off of Rush doing the "Day 488 of the Clinton Occupancy of the White House" which is of course, a rip off of Nightline's daily count of how many days our embassy personel were held hostage in Iran. So that's a rip off of a rip off. Double Ugh.
But of course I'm concentrating more on Olbermann then O'Reilly in this argument because I'm a conservative and Olbermann is a liberal. I'll be honest about that. I agree more with O'Reilly so I cut him more slack. But at least I was just as honest about O'Reilly's pattern of behavior regarding the way he interviews liberals vs. the way he interviews conservatives. You gotta give me points for that, right?

Scott, you're all class, and probably the most honest person posting in this forum.
Personally, I have no time for pundits on either side. I bemoan the highjacking of primetime news by ego-driven editorializing.

In Hollywood, everyone deserves a party. Lara Shriftman, publicist and party-giver extraordinaire (her line of party products is sold on the Home Shopping Network) throws a holiday party every year for Lulu Flynn, her 3-year-old miniature Shih Tzu, and Lulu's doggy pals, including actress Lara Flynn Boyle's Shih Tzu, Greta Garbo, and tennis champ Serena Williams' Jack Russell, Jackie.
The dogs prance around in Santa outfits from Petco, dine on doggy cakes from Three Dog Bakery, and gnaw on rawhide bones tucked into their stockings. Shriftman says there's been an uptick of Hollywood pup parties: "People are obsessed with their dogs."
Tinseltown's humans have their pick of parties during the season. Jennifer Klein, producer of "Armageddon" and "Pearl Harbor," holds her bash on the first Saturday of every December. This year, the 300-plus guests included Eddie Murphy, country crooner Kenny Chesney and "Transformers" director Michael Bay. Klein says insider parties like hers are a chance for movie people to network while they have fun, free from the prying eyes of the hoi polloi. "Eddie Murphy knows he doesn't have to worry about someone asking for his autograph," she says.
Even happier were the out-of-work writers: "They were telling me they'd spent all week picketing and were so glad to be at a party."
It wouldn't be La La Land without sexing up the season. "Sexy Santas" are popular this year. For her staff party, L.A. media consultant Christina Martin has hired a St. Nick with rock-hard abs who will "ho ho ho" in nothing but a red hat, red Speedo and black boots. "It's Chippendales meets Santa," she says.
