Jumper-----the new Matrix

The preview of the film coming out in February reminds me of the Matrix.....it has a somewhat non-descript star(Hayden Christensen) invested with mythic superhuman powers entered into a battle to save mankind....It looks like Keanu has been replaced.

I saw this trailer before "I Am Legend", and it reminded me more of Highlander meets Nightcrawler from X-Men.

Yea well it never did strike me as a particularly 'original' concept. Maybe their will be a shameless Alien VS Predator style sequel "Jumpers VS Quantum Leap".

Looks like a fun movie, but I'm not expecting much.
Hayden's wooden acting in Star Wars left a bad taste in my mouth (Lucas' fault?)
And while I love Sam Jackson, he seems to go after the paycheck these days.

The premise is cool enough though, if handled correctly. The director of the first Bourne movie is a talented guy, so I guess we'll just see.

wow you're soo right about this, but soo wrong about jumper, i think it looks like pure dog shit, and hayden christianson, sucks balls. He's horrible in almost everything he's in, this movie will be atrocious

That's kind of the point....Hayden=Keanu.....Keanu never got alot of respect and neither has Hayden....as far as Jumper being as good as Matrix I....probably not, but maybe as good as II and III.

The more previews I see for this movie the more I think I will be better off not seeing it. At first they were doing a pretty good job of showing just enough to make you wonder 'what the f?' and that it might be interesting. Now that I know it's Samuel L. chasing around dumb Hayden Christianson I am no longer interested.. One can only hope Samuel L. puts forth a performance as good as Deep Blue Sea or Changing Lanes.. YUCK! I like pre-1998 Samuel L. much better..

i just don't get how the guy teleports 3 feet to his fridge, soo stupid. Look , i could be wrong, but this looks like a script Nic Cage was too busy to do, just crap action, even though I realy like the director, which is the only glimmer of hope.

Just saw this - Hayden was awful... just awful.

The story could have been interesting but it was so undeveloped - the Diane Lane part was completely glossed over - just plain bad editing and writing on this - although I dont know what else could have been done to make it better...

I loved the location shots - Collesium shots especially... I kept waiting for this big scene on a bridge that the director was talking about on R&F - and it really was NOTHING at all...

I was a big fan of Rachael Bilson...

And most importantl - Samuel Jackson was again BORING. Samuel Jackson = Black Michael Madsen....
