on the show, Justin Bartha was a guest, and acted like a real douche, trying to be the big man on campus, big star - and Ron called him out on it, made everything a bit awkward, making great radio.

You missed a beautifully uncomfortable moment Doctor.
He definitely laid down a harsh lesson on respect.
That asshole Justin Bartha made me want to crawl thru the radio and punch him in his smarmy face. I loved how Ronnie bitch slapped him and made him all apologetic.
He came in with a "too cool for the room" attitude and Ron called him on it immediately. Awesome radio, and I hope that jerkoff learned a lesson.
I still have absolutely no clue who he is, so how he got such an ego is beyond me.

i only heard a little bit of it thursday and assumed it was a bit. i plan on listening to it tomorrow at work and i am very excited. i assume he made that dude look like an ass.
What's funny about it (besides Ron tooling that douche) is that the Hollywood movie system now needs radio for promotion like never before. Without the talk shows their exposure points are really low.
So some agent sends this dickhead on radio and he plays way too cool for the room. And right now Hollywood because of the writers strike, needs XM. Let's see if the pr people/agents figure how to properly act on radio as to now kill their press.

I thought he was doing an impersonation of Nicholas Cage the whole interview.

I liked the part when Dave told him he could take seven minutes to take his coat off.

yeah, that is why i thought it was a bit because dave never talks while the guests are on.

True, but I took that as a sign of the interview unravelling. I think Ron mentioned on O&A that Justin Bartha handed his jacket to Lilly disrespectfully, leading Dave to say that. Didn't translate to radio, obviously

When I heard it the other day, I knew Bartha was done when he entered the studio and greeted Ron with the drawn out "maaaaaan". Ron called him out, and Bartha didn't know what to do.

I think Dave saw Ron getting heated and got angry himself. When Ron reacted as though the tool was being disrespectful it seemed Dave felt the need to get involved. Nobody can question Dave's loyalty to Ron.

still it really must be said that despite the rough start that interview actually came together in the end -- not only did Ron put that guy in his place but then he went and did his job and delivered a great interview..!!
Yes, Ron is the MFing man..!!

This is why we love listening to Ron. He has control. He's cultivated the ability to stop bullshit in it's tracks (see above: Earl) and calmly direct the person to the realization that he understands they are full of shit and they should now come around to his point of view. It reminds me of that scene with Christopher Walken in Wayne's World -
Wayne: a sphinctor says what?
CW: oh, I get it... I'm supposed to say what now.
What's beautiful is - if that doesn't work, you can always wake them up with a hammer and a butcher knife.

So, while looking for the link I was reading some of the thread.
Does Wackbag like Dave, or not? I'm not real good with innuendo.

What a douche that guy is.
Although, in his defense, every single person I've ever heard speak in a California accent sounds like an asshole.

Like Opie said, "That's the genius of Ron Bennington".
On a side note, I saw the Married with Children episode with Sam Kinnison. Made me drop a tear just thinking what could have been. Sometimes when Ron yells, I get a tiny glimpse of him in my head. =\

So, is this the thread Ron was talking about, when he said one of the biggest companies in the world was angry about the board? That was pretty f'in funny.

Either that or JR's Cigars isn't happy about what some people think about the ZMan.

They talked about two different threads (that being one of them). I'm pretty sure JR's Cigars isn't one of the biggest companies in the country. Or was it world? I can't remember.

This kid's resume is just a little to fluffy to be going around talking like that.
He preformed "Baby Got Back" for the soundtrack of Gigli? What does that even mean?

Also, it would be one think if he was this big independent actor and he just used these movies to pay the bills, but that does not seems to be the case at all. Directing one movie and having a couple in pre-production does not an artist make.

SatCam you have caught me in your trap. On what basis do you make the insinuation that this was a "bit" or a "work"?
Granted, Dave's "take your jacket" line seemed a bit forced, but I believe he was going over the top to turn tension into humor.
