Adam Carolla walking?

Adam Carolla's behavior continues in a jagged line at KLSX. Insiders claim that Adam was a no-show for his morning drive show with Danny Bonaduce and Teresa Strasser and not sick. On Friday night the station was promoting heavily a personal appearance in Orange County for an event called, 'Carolla's Christmas.' Again, he was a no-show for the program that was recorded and played back Friday morning. Last week he wasn't sick enough to do almost an hour on a competing radio station. A number of blogs have been vicious about the apparent conflict between Carolla and Bonaduce. Word is he will appear as a guest on another competing station tomorrow.

It's a shame if he's leaving over Danny's show-killing ass. But he pulls this right after Danny gets a year extension and 100k raise. :wallbash:

I could never get into Carrola, since his days of Lovelines, I never understood his appeal. I think it's a L.A. vs N.Y. thing.

I like Carolla's show and listen occasionally listen on-line if I'm near my computer when it's on.

Although I understand why he's uncomfortable with Bonaduce there waiting to take his job, Bonaduce usually defers to Carolla. This is a management problem. CBS owns a lot of stations and they need to give each of these guys their own show.

I'm a HUGE Carolla fan & follower. I love what he does.

His is the only other message board that I ever go to and just yesterday, it was shut down. Not a good sign.


Nobody knows what's goin' on but, Adam hasn't taken a sick in his entire career (although he did take some time off when his twins were born) and he called in "sick" for the last few days of his show.... including his year-end show, his Ace-awards show, and his live Xmas show. Danny and the news chick (Teresa) did the show by themselves and it was a DISSSAASSSTER. Not funny. No flow. Amateur hour.



His ratings started quite low but, from what I understand, he was actually number one or two in several west coast markets recently so, maybe he has some leverage now.

Bonaduce is such an attention grabbing assclown. It was next to impossible to talk with him sitting shotgun. I felt bad for Adam. He didn't NEED a co-pilot. I honestly don't know why the powers that be thought it was a good idea to put another type-A in the mix.

I love Adams shtick. I hope he returns.

I thought that Carolla was great on Loveline: perfectly bossy with Drew and appropriately snide yet understanding with the callers.

But I heard some of that morning show with Danny recently, and it sounded odd. Too many strange drop ins during conversations, and there wasn't much chemistry between Adam and Danny, to me at least.

The drop-ins are a big part of the show. Most of them are recorded during the broadcast and become running jokes. It threw me when I first listened, but after I got savvy to all the references I had a ton of respect for the producer. There was little chemisrty between Danny and Adam. Danny turned every subject to himself, his love life, how he would kick someone's ass -it was embarrassing.
I can't believe the story hasn't leaked yet. No one is saying they know anything.

Here's an interesting theory aboot what's going on behind the scenes. I think it's accurate... except for the part where they claim Danny is "on the verge of greatness". That's GOT to be a sarcastic joke!

It seems like a good solution, everybody gets what they want. Carolla gets a raise and gets rid of Bonaduce. Bonaduce gets his own show and gets rid of Carolla.

Comedian Greg Fitzsimmons has already made a joke about Danny not being there. And Adam made a joke about "banishing Danny back to the cornfields". Brilliant.

So I'm listening to todays ACS and I gotta say, I'm rather shocked at how amazingly honest Adam & Teresa are being about the firing of Bonaduce. They are VERY happy that Danny is gone and they are not hiding it.
In this day & age, I'm used to people putting a positive spin on things.
Adam & T aren't pulling any punches. They kinda started out being PC but, that dried up after about 4 mins.
