I missed the show today, but can only assume that Earl has spiraled further downhill and is blaming insomnia/sleeplessness for his problems.

I know first hand how much it can suck, but sometimes you just have to deal with it. I only get a couple hours of sleep a night and rely on weekends (and meds) to get additional sleep, but I am still productive every day - actually I do an OUTSTANDING job.

A sleeping disorder. Earl is going to be taking tests. He'll be going to a clinic that does tests sleep on the 26th. My bro-in-law went through this. My bro-in-law sleeps with a mask on that blows cool air into his nose.

Earl may very well have a sleep disorder, but as Dr. Steve said, his personality foibles will still be the same once this sleep issue is resolved.
