2007 is nearly through and music sure was realeased this year.
What was the best album to be realeased?
The Weakerthans-Reunion Tour
Motion City Soundtrack-Even if it Kills Me
Jimmy Eat World-Chase This Light
Thrice-The Alchemy Index Fire/Water
And the number one cd of 2007...
Coheed and Cambria-Good Apollo I'm a Burning Star V. 2: No World For Tomorrow
I most likely forgot several albums deserving for my list. Feel free to call me a silly boy.

i hate these threads cause people always wind up mentioning like 40 underground punk albums that came out this year from bands people have never heard of, and then they remark that they're "brilliant albums". i dont need my music to be mainstream, i just dont dig these threads cause its filled with a bunch of music ive never heard of.

If that was a shot at me, Coheed and Cambria is pretty fucking mainstream. They're touring with Linkin Park, for fuck's sake.
Also, maybe you should use these threads to find new music. If someone is nominating an album for album of the year, maybe you should check it out.

There were a lot of good albums this year.

oooh I will respond cause i love music
Okkervil River - The Stage Names (best album for me)

Was Modest Mouse's album out thise year? I'd have to include them into the fray of albums.
And to just name a not so well known band, Gallows had a fantastic album this year. Fantastic for the punk community.
I also really like Against me!'s New Wave.
And Bayside's Walking Wounded.

another band I love cause I know them personally and was disappointed in their album. I think losing Beatz really hurt them and this album was a far fall off from the self titled album, in my opinion.

I agree totally that the self-titled album surpasses this one by far. I suppose I just respect them coming out and making a good album after losing a member of the band so tragically. I think if you look at the cd alone, without hearing any prior Bayside stuff it makes for a great listen.
