Is it Happy New Year? or Happy New YearS? Do people take offense to the X in XMAS? thinking its a negative reference? Are St Nick and Santa claus one in the same? This season is tough enugh to endure without these annoying gray areas. Answers? More gray areas? what say you?

I think it's Happys New Year, as in mothers-in-law or sergeants at arms.
