Horrid cold

Anyone else suffering from this horrible throat bug going around? I don't get sick too often, but when I do, it looks like every one I see has something too (not just the ones I gave it too).

I'm on day five and I'm starting to see the light on the other end of the tunnel. Maybe staying in bed for the better part of 2 days helped with that, although when I finally got up, I felt my muscles had atrophied.

A shitty cold... what a way to wrap up the anal rape that was 2007.

UGH...don't even get me started. I just got back home from a 2 hr stint in the ER. I wouldn't have gone, but I was feeling so shitty I called my mom (she's a nurse) told her my symptoms, which included a fever, headache and a recently developed (last night) itchy rash in both my underarms. So at first its just an annoyance until I call mom and she says get to the ER, it could be meningitis. Nope, bronchitis and heat rash from the fever, I never thought I would be so glad to have bronchitis. But I have been in bed since the 27th, sick as a dog. Thank god i missed the nausea and vomiting part though.

Yes, I also have something. I'm in my 1st real day of sickness and right now it's a light cough with mostly a head cold feeling. It sucks ass though, it kept me up most of last night and it will probably keep me from doing anything on New Year's Eve.

Very pissed. I don't get sick much either. I hung out with a few work buddies ONE FUCKING DAY, and they were all saying how they were getting over something. Well they gave it to me, thanks assholes.

This morning I hocked up the grossest pebbly blob of throat phlegm. It had multiple consistencies, multiple colors, I swear to god I almost threw up when I saw it.

that's one of the phucking worst things bout getting a cold.

i've been battling this piece of shit cold since before christmas, never really sick hust kind of on the edge, one day sinuses blocked, the next day throat sore, a day later cough and congestion, start to feel a bit better and then it starts again

oh well i almost never get the flu (almost twenty years since the last time), and this type of cold only once every few years so i guess i can live with it

Since November my wife and kid batted a cold back and forth like some retarded version of Pong. The whole time I flew under the radar.

Christmas Eve, everybody's healthy, and I get the cold, and I still have it.

I know it sounds whiny, but being sick sucks. It magnifies every little problem and inconvenience until you just want to set yourself on fire.

An awful chest cold has been raping me for about two weeks now and the phlegm is atrocious, the texture and colors are horrible.

A few nights ago I woke up at some ungodly hour coughing up a lung and a huge wad of phlegm flew into my mouth, it was horrible. I got up and panicked while i looked for a place to spit it out in the dark and wound up spitting it in the glass of water on my bed stand and going back to sleep. The next morning i woke up, looked at it, felt the remnants of it in my throat and puked in the garbage can the phlegm should have went in in the first place. The phlegm was totally covering the surface of the water and you could see the drippy shit hangin all in the water like the bottom of an iceburg. There were different colors and a piece of it looked spherical for some reason, lots of shades of beige and yellow and a little green.

I've had the awful thing since Christmas eve. Mostly a sore throat and head cold, worse in the morning than once I get up, but still annoying.

I am truly blessed that I can't tell if I am catching the latest throat/cold floating around...Thanks to Chronic Bronchitis or whatever the fuck has been making me cough constantly and rip my thoat raw since Halloween. My phlegm is moving into the Springtime Colors according to HGTV

so true, for about a week before christmas i was so stuffed up i couldn't breathe through my nose most days, pain in the ass having to breathe through your mouth, especially when trying to eat

I have been having one of those sore throats that NEVER go away. Swallowing is hard and all clod drinks are just agony.

I think today is the first day I can officially say 'not sick'. Just a little soar in the throat area. Lots of water helped. Hope everyone else is gets over it quickly.

And if you aren't sick, wash those hands and don't touch your face with that filthy hand.

My daughter had it New Years day and now my wife has it. I spent New Years cleaning up vomit. Can't wait until it leaves our house.

I've got a terrible cold, too. 2 days ago I was fine and then yesterday it felt like I was suckerpunched. I called in sick to work, which they hate by the way. So I'm looking forward to hearing about it tomorrow.
On the upside, I've got some books to read and a dime to finish off.
