I was recently at a concert with a local band. When the lead singer took the stage, I looked at my wife, and said... "Mikeyboy?" She started laughing hysterically.
I'll let you be the judge. It may explain the long hair, beard and sudden bad boy attitude.

Oh. God. No.
I may have lousy taste in music, but the GooGoo Dolls are best described as soporific.
It was a toss-up between Roger Clyne and the Peacemakers (http://www.azpeacemakers.com/) and the Barenaked Ladies; RC & the Peacemakers won out over BNL.
The decision was not a bad one; they are a kickass band.
The band that played the set before they took the stage was pretty kickass, too. (http://www.chrisparkerproject.com/)
(It's not often that you can say that about a cover band, is it?)

Nah, Mikey would have blocked Matty's IM's anyway.
(If I still had AIM, I would too.)

This gets better: Lead singer of the coverband is actually the phoenix equivalent of our friend Powder.

Matty is actually blocked on IM because sometimes, when we don't see eye to eye on certain topics, he has a tendency to make it his mission to convince me on IM that his opinion is right. One of said IM sessions topped out at nearly two hours. That's time I would rather spend doing just about anything else.

I like to think I've calmed considerably since then. In fact, I was about to call Curtoid a "5000 post cockface" for his comment, but then I took your advice under consideration and didn't post it in the heat of the moment.
Anyway, you do have a solid point. I can be very stubborn and overly persuasive sometimes. You have to be impressed that I'd make a good lawyer, though.
