dude, i thought it was gonna suck dick, since i have seen the play, but it was def. worth seeing. it was funny, and the lovely perked up tits weren't bad at all. plus, Sasha Baron Cohen is in it, and he was good. li went to see the movie thinking that Johny Depp couldn't sing for shit, but he is pretty good. two thumbs up :thumbup:

I disagree because letterman's company has less to lose than the big corporations do. Worldwide Pants doesn't rake in DVD sales and internet videos. This deal is much different from what the Big Networks and studios would have to sign.

I think this deal weakens the union because it entourages union members to try and make their own deals.

Over the last 2 weeks I have been listening to the first 2 months of shows that Ron and Fez did on XM. (the Harry shows)

During those shows, Fez was on quite a winning streak. His lock of the week for college football hit for several weeks in a row, and he went 3 for 4 his beloved Bucs.

The first bet was with a guy from Buffalo who sent Fez some Labatts Blue,

the next week the Bucs beat the Packers and Fez won but the guy didn't pay off the bet because he claimed there was a point spread issue,

Then Fez and JDubs had a tattoo on the Detriot/Tampa game which Fez won.

Fez then lost to the Blowhard as the Bucs went down to the Jets.

And finally Fez and Tuttle bet on the Bucs/Dolphins game and Tuttle had to walk around Disney World with an "I am a convicted kid toucher" sign.

I disagree because letterman's company has less to lose than the big corporations do. Worldwide Pants doesn't rake in DVD sales and internet videos. This deal is much different from what the Big Networks and studios would have to sign.

I think this deal weakens the union because it entourages union members to try and make their own deals.

what i'm saying is i don't know what the deal was that they struck. it would make sense (from the union's point of view) if they signed with him exactly what they're asking for from everyone else. if it's true what you say that dvd's don't matter to dave, it would cost him little to sign a deal giving a share of that to the writers. also, i don't think he would have negotiated with the individual union members, he would have still had to go to the union itself.

for the part of yours i bolded, what is that based on? how do you know it's a different deal?

Not sure if you people in the Northern areas have this but I am having Krystal. I ordered two regular with cheese, and two krystal chiks . The regular two had mustard and pickles, so I had to throw the pickles out. and the chiks had way too much mayo. I will never eat this again. Horrible!!

Well I take back my certainty and agree with what I've bolded, we don't know exactly what was agreed to. But we do know what assets dave's company has. It owns the two shows and produces some other sitcoms (everybody loves raymond, not sure what else). Maybe they inked a deal to get more of the raymond dvd's income but for the rest there's no revenue outside of the show's regular broadcast advertising.

You're right the Union head must have approved the deal but I still don't agree that it gives them more leverage.

Assuming that is the case, other than a staff pay increase, Dave's back because he had everything to gain, not so easy compared to the studios.
