Hey buddies. I have the strangest urge to pick flowers with my mouth right now.
I'm fucking exhausted. Less than 4 hours sleep last night as we are trying to get our daughter acclimated to her bed, and not sleeping with her mother.
For today's song, I'm going with "Missed the Boat" Modest Mouse.

I know the feeling. Last night was my first night with a breathing machine (CPAP) and it was tough to get used to.
When I did sleep it helped a lot, but the problem was getting used to sleeping with a mask and tubing tightly strapped to your head.

Every time I got her to go to sleep, it would take me awhile for myself to get back to sleep, and as soon as I did so, she'd wake up again crying that she wants to sleep with her mommy.
Although at the end, she was calling for me.

We have only been moderately successful with my daughter so far. She usually needs one of us to snuggle with her until she gets to sleep, then she wakes up sometime in the very early morning and sneaks back into our room and sleeps with us until morning.
It will be so much easier to sleep after my daughter leaves for college next year...

Oh man, I had the same experience once at a wedding. The groom's sister got up during the reception, grabbed the mic and started preaching. She was completely over-the-top and overly dramatic, to the point where she was basically yelling at the guests. It was so uncomfortable. On top of that, the wedding was held in the basement of a Pentecostal church and was completely dry... no booze. Awful.

I don't think it qualifies, because the movies they are discussing are movies that are set in the time they came out. Blade Runner is set in the future.
Given the way they are talking, I don't think Die Hard fits the discussion.

Well, if you think about it, why now and not then? Did he suddenly get better 14 years after he retired? Did they uncover some more stats that went unnoticed over the last 9 years? And while we're at it, How does Cal Ripken nor Tony Gwynn not get the unanimous nod? Sportswriters are assholes. Fuck you Hall of Fame.
